Speculators Equal Swine! Make Them Pay More for Their Commodities!

Something to keep the COLD out!

Changing minds caused by changing circumstances, being called “flip-flopping” goes completely against the history of this country. After Carter, with 14% unemployment and 21% interest rates, you would think that no citizen, even a democrat, would want to vote for someone like Obama, who endorses the same policies as Carter did, with his windfall profits tax, and the elemental stages of wearing sweaters, adjusting to NO gas, rationing, long gas lines, American citizens held hostage, and Americans ashamed of their country abandoning hope and faith for the future. Thank God the voters voted him out and Reagan in (with his optimism), saying what we SHOULD be - a shining city upon a hill and a beacon to the rest of the world and leading the country in THAT direction. He strengthened our military calling for the Star Wars defense system, and he defeated the Communist party of the USSR, now split up - some of them even in NATO.

Thank God we had THEM and not Obama!

Now, as far as changing minds to meet new circumstances, MacArthur, a military man of high repute in World War II, did a masterful job in the re-construction of Japan after the war. However, in Korea, as military commander, he over-stepped his authority and was fired by President Truman and Truman was lambasted by the American people for his action. Truman also changed his mind on dropping the A-bomb after a study was made of how many millions of casualties there would be on both sides if we had tried a land invasion. There are still some liberals who condemn him for his actions. Those World War II veterans who lived because of his actions, no doubt, are thankful for his decision.

There is no doubt that Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Churchill, Truman, Admiral Nimitz, Admiral Halsey, and General Patton all changed their minds as circumstances changed during the war, or we would have LOST the war. The greatest program of the Eisenhower administration, and one of the major causes of our growth after World War II was the interstate/highway system, which was a circumstance of him seeing how a modern road system of major highways had helped in Germany’s growth and in their military prowess.

Once you lose them, you never get ‘em back ~ principals

Les Aspen, Nancy Pelosi, and Jack Murtha are all the same. Les refused backup for the troops (remember Black Hawk Down, when 19 young men died?). If Nancy and Jack have their way, a lot of young men will die due to not getting backup help that they need. When I saw and heard Nancy in Iraq this week, I nearly vomited. Sure they will support our troops - just like these same types of people did during Vietnam. A lot of children had no fathers after Vietnam because of these jerks, and young women became widows.

These same people would have preferred President Truman to not drop the bombs, but instead, have most of those horrible military men die from being used as targets by theDon't blame the poor Japs! loving Japanese people. They, now, are even making movies about these wonderful people. I had a friend, now dead, that was a prisoner of Japan during the Bataan Death March. His natural hatred became my hatred. I would like someone to tell me if the Japanese ever paid reparations to the Korean, Chinese, Filipino, and Burmese women used by the Japanese army as sex slaves for their military jackals. From what I understand, most were killed as the Japs retreated. I don’t believe they ever paid reparations for using U.S. prisoners as slaves in their war effort. Also, I don’t believe they ever paid reparations to any country that they raped, ravaged, and destroyed. I don’t doubt that they are as good an ally today as are those countries we helped to liberate - our good friends the French, English, Dutch, Polish, Czechs, and others - even our erstwhile enemies… now friends, the Germans and Italians. Our young men gave their life’s blood to liberate them, and now they’re attitude is “the United States is EVIL”, unless they see what we can do for them today.

Hypothetically, Churchill, Roosevelt and Stalin would have been more apt to work with George Bush rather than Clinton during World War II. In fact, Clinton probably wouldn’t have been invited to their meetings because of his cowardice and self-preservation. He would have insisted on bringing his own interns with him for stress relief. He would have been like Charles De gaulle and Chiang Kai-shek, just a burden to be carried by Churchill and Roosevelt. I saw a survey taken in England the other day. They would give away more rights because of the terrorist acts, such as allowing their phones to be tapped, their mail to be opened, and other things of this nature to a far greater degree than we could with the Patriot Act. But our illustrious media twists this the same way they do anything, to attack the Republicans and tell how all the world hates us.
