Forgot To Ask

How many lies must a man spout off before it makes him a man?

I may be a gloomy Gus, but I have been getting more and more frustrated by the acts of Congress and the pronouncements of The One.  Obama seems to be doing more and more for the unions.  An example of this is GM and Chrysler and its supposed reorganization after its destruction by the unions.  He is intent on supporting the unions and its treasure to be spent on him and the Democratic party.  In line with this he is pushing for card check and the Democrats are mostly behind this, and to hell with the secret ballot.  I gave you an example of what could happen with card check in my last article.  Can you imagine this happening all over the country and how that will be a destructive force to communities everywhere?

With Obama being able to promote class envy, coat every action with racist overtones, and increase partisanship leaves me not only frustrated but afraid for the future of our country for the first time in my long life.  His programs are the most destructive forces to face this country, and that includes floods, tornadoes, hurricanes, and earthquakes.  Obama’s press conferences are a joke.  His questions are screened – his questioners know before hand – he has never had a free ranging press conference.  The press that no longer exists would never have allowed this to happen with President Bush.  I wonder how some of the press who use to be real journalists can look at themselves in the mirror.  Can anyone, after the bias shown by the newspapers, mourn their passing?  I can see where the Democrats would.

The now SUPPOSED media and journalists won’t even admit that anything Obama says or does isn’t perfect, especially the women and of special recognition Kristen Powers, who thinks he is God.  Being a Fox analyst, I guess, gives her more insight and then of course Obama has another worshiper that is a Fox analyst, Bob Beckel.  If you count them up, contrary to conventional wisdom, Fox has more liberals than conservatives.  Taking a cue from their dear leader, Democrats on news programs lay out lies that never get corrected such as Obama saying he inherited a  $1.3 trillion deficit – which is a lie and a pile of bulls**t.

The Third Reich mastered the art of telling lies so often they became accepted as truth.  When no news anchor questions lies put out by Obama and his Democratic henchmen, they become accepted as truth.  Sustaining our way of life and ensuring our continued history is the responsibility of our President, and that being Obama.  I am scared for my children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their offspring.

As far as I am concerned, Timothy Geithner and Janet Napolitano are the wrong people in the wrong jobs at the wrong time and threaten the survival of our country.  Geithner’s actions, thus far, with his praising of a Chinese economist and taking under consideration a world currency devalue the dollar further and caused much consternation for many Americans.  His asking for more power after using what he has in the manner he has is not conducive of trust by the American people, so please, if anything, take some of his power away or ask for his resignation.  Janet Napolitano, not being able to use the words “terror”, “terrorist”, and “war on terror” is at least discouraging as it pertains to how she is approaching her duties and creates no great trust in Americans’ minds.

• Those legislators in states that depend on coal for their industries and vote for cap and trade, or more aptly known as a carbon tax, will be easily defeated.
• Those legislators who vote for card check will be easily defeated in the southern states.
• Should some plastic surgeon feel sorry for Geithner and give him a nose job?
• I wonder if Barney Frank would use teeth if he had them.
• Harry Reid could be defeated in his re-election if the Republicans really put in an effort.
• The kooks in California will always keep Nancy Pelosi, another kook, unless term limits are applied.
• Pinocchio would fit right in with the Democrats.
• Can anyone tell me anything AmeriCorps has accomplished and what its increase will mean – I am sure a boon to the Democratic party.

When I was a very young child, I attended school in Tennessee.  At that time, you had to be six to attend first grade.  And as my birthday was in February, and I was only five, my family had to make an extreme effort to allow me to enter.  I guess I had thrown a tantrum.  My cousin Henry was already six and he would be there.  By the second grade, he had moved away, and my best friend was gone.

That year, the teacher said we were going to try something new and have the children pick a friend and give each other Christmas presents instead of drawing names.  There would be a limit on how much could be spent.  This one boy came to me and suggested we pick each other.  I said that would be alright.  I had the money to spend for his gift, and during lunch hour we went to a nearby store and he talked me into buying what he wanted at the moment and said he would give me mine on the day the school exchanged presents.

On that day, I was the only child that received no present, except for a handkerchief that the teacher had given to everyone.  I hadn’t read Pinocchio by then, or maybe I would have recognized lampwick.  I imagine, by now, he has retired with millions and millions of dollars.  Fool me once, shame on me.  This has taught me to be very careful of the companions I choose.  I have been told by a lawyer friend, since then, that I am the most naive person he has ever known.  After all that, I still trust most people.

The five Republicans on the gang of ten are being led down the primrose path by the five Democrats – how stupid can you get?  Barrack Hussein Obama is also leading the American people down a primrose path promising everything and actually has never produced anything.  He reminds me of Lampwick, promising everything to Pinocchio, and in the end made themselves just a couple of asses.  If he prevails, he will make asses out of all citizens in America.  I never knew a politician who threw so many friends under the bus.  Everyone knows who they are and what they represent.  How anyone knowing this and still plans voting for Obama are helping to take the country down the false road of socialism, which is not what this country needs.

This country was formed on the backs of American individuals with the freedoms they were given, and in response to that built a country with success that is the envy of the world and other countries aspire to.  Frankly, I am not ashamed of living in a country that the rest of the world envies and I will never want to placate those socialistic countries as Obama seems to want to do.  I don’t want this country to become a member of the European Union.  I still want to live in a country that the world turns to when they need help – not someone who will use the fiddle of socialism to play as Nero did while Rome burned.  In other words, Obama WILL destroy this country of guts and glory.

Something new… Republicans for Obama… one of them is ex-Congressman Jim Leach from Iowa.  I wonder if this has something to do with McCain being against massive taxes from the American people being used to subsidize farmers to raise corn for ethanol that is raising the price of fuel for every American and inflating the cost of food to harm the rest of the American citizens.  Instead, McCain wants to get our ethanol from Brazil, which is a lot cheaper and is made from sugar cane, which does not raise the price of food on meat, dairy, bread, and all the staffs of life.

Now let’s talk about the geopolitical energy grab that Russia is trying in relation to its attack on Georgia.  The bear is raising its ugly head again in the presence of its cub Putin.  The world cannot allow the Nazi doctrine for the justification to invade bordering countries for their economic and political needs.  The world stood back and watched Hitler do this without taking any action.  Some actions may be limited, but at least we could furnish them with Patriot missile batteries and other military equipment.  We could also give them economic aid as we did during the Cold War, shut down of roads and rails to Berlin.  A lot of us were around then and cheered with every plane load that was flown in to show the Berliners we stood by them.  We need the same guts now.  I blame the rise of Russia’s aggressive actions, not only on Putin, but on Bill Clinton and the Democratic party.

Clinton vetoed the bill to drill in ANWR when the Republicans voted to allow it.  After that, the Democrats wouldn’t allow offshore drilling, they placed obstacles in the path of nuclear power plants, the use of coal, processing of oil shale, and drilling on government lands.  Had we done all those things and continued to try to get entrepreneurs like T. Boone Pickens to work on alternative fuels such as solar, wave, biomass, wind, and gas from garbage and land fills, we wouldn’t be in this kind of energy crunch.  Had we done these things, we would be in a position to export oil to other countries and break the use of energy by Russia as a weapon against bordering countries and Europe.  Also, this would have improved our balance of payments and retired some of our debt.
