Release The Names of These Crooked Speculators

Speculators: "Sky's the limit!"

Speculators: "Sky's the limit!"

Lest we forget hundreds of thousands of homes going into bankruptcy – what happened?  Let’s take a look:

Jimmy Carter passed a law governing home sales making them available to people who couldn’t afford them.  Bill Clinton embellished it.  Barney Frank, Maxine Waters, and Chris Dodd refused to let the Bush administration make rule changes and oversee Freddie and Fannie.  That, initially, started the house of cards to implode.  No matter what, the Democratic congress have continued to remain in power for the last three years – the ones who caused this financial meltdown.  It all comes back to giving mortgages to people who couldn’t afford them, by the thousands.  The banks got overwhelmed, and then due to the Democrats actions the failures in businesses started.

Obama talks about what he inherited.  He doesn’t bring attention to who really caused it, the Democratic congress in power with the tactics they used while they had the power… and they still have that power.  What other harm will they cause?  Now they are offering a way to harm our military and the past administration by creating a furor over the interrogation techniques.  Does anyone remember the beheading of a journalist, four beheaded bodies hanging from a bridge, Saddam killing millions of his own citizens – using poison gas on old people, women, and children?  All these supposed tortures, if taken together, would not equal one-tenth the torture used by either one of Saddam’s two sons on anyone that crossed them.

The Democrats talk about Darfur and poor citizens being killed, and yet they scream about Bush freeing 50 millions Iraqis from death that could happen at any moment if they crossed either Saddam or his sons.  The Democratic liberals would allow the beheading of American soldiers, Saddam torturing and killing his own people – yet we may not use any form of interrogation and must justify the interrogation we do use, buy the lies of terrorists, as when the Taliban kills dozens of their own people and say we did it and the liberals buy their lies (lock, stock, and barrel).  As far as I am concerned, Bush’s legacy will be saving 50 millions people in Iraq, giving them freedom and saving 15 million lives from aids in Africa.  He was the most maligned President, while in office, ever and was the object of wrath by a slimy group of hate-mongers known as DEMOCRATS.  As far as I am concerned, they are as low as you can go.

The culture of corruption is alive and well in THIS administration, headed by none other than Private Jet (furnished by Air Force) Nancy Pelosi, on top of all her lying about the CIA to cover her a$$.  Then of course you have John Murtha, the master of all earmarks, making sure his family receives millions of dollars by his chicanery.  There is Harry Reid who has carried nepotism to it’s ninth degree by enhancing the fortunes of his family.  Dianne Feinstein, seeing to it that her husband gets millions of dollars in contracts.  Congressman John Dingell and his wife, a Washington Power Couple.  If a congressman pays for service from a prostitute, they are kicked out of office, but Barney Frank pays for a male prostitute and he is allowed to continue and be one of the major players in this financial meltdown of the country.

Cabinet appointees not having paid their taxes – all Democrats – no wonder they like to raise taxes.  Only Republicans have to pay them.  Tom Daschle, a Senator who was defeated, was to join the cabinet but owed over $100,000 in back taxes and so was turned down.  He immediately joined GE, the most corrupt corporation there is with ties and pull for and with this administration by use of its media arm.  Tom and his wife, a lobbyist, have taken great care to spread the wealth to other members of their family.  Dodd and Conrad, with their mortgage difficulties – William Jefferson, with his cold cash – Charlie Rangel, a crook and tax cheat – the list could go on, but why bother?  Ninety percent of the Democratic politicians are crooked and their constituents vote them back in, so who is to blame – the Democratic crooks or their constituents?

The SEC is allowing traders to manipulate the gas and oil prices, raising them even though there is an over-supply of both, and they are helping terrorist states by their actions.  Where are the demonstrators walking up and down in front of their houses as they did to Wall Street CEO’s?  Why hasn’t a list of them been sent out to the media with addresses given so their neighbors would know who they are and the terrorist countries can call them up and THANK them?

A question arises as to why CEO’s salaries should be subject to government intervention.  Why not movie stars – being subjected to salary caps?  Let’s say no more than $1,000,000 per picture and television series limited to $1,000 per episode… GO TO IT OBAMA!

I wonder if Obama asked David Axelrod to compare Miss California and a dog, or could it be that Perez Hilton may be Axelrod’s lover?  Don’t think this is very apropos for a high official in a Democratic administration.  The NPR Democratic party, I understand, roared with laughter as would NBC and MSNBC listeners.

Obama’s Buck Stops Here, and There, and EVERYWHERE!

Obama's buck may have stopped, but he's spending ours!

Obama's buck may have stopped, but he's spending ours!

The AIG flap has uncovered a lot of dirty dealings in the Obama administration, and now even with Obama’s double-speak people can see, if they care to, what is behind the curtain.  A Republican Senator and a Democratic Senator put in an amendment in the stimulus bill to keep AIG from giving bonuses to upper-echelon managers.  This amendment was defeated.  Then Chris Dodd puts in an amendment that allows the giving of bonuses.  Now he says that he was told to by the Treasury department – something rotten in Denmark.  Then Obama does his double-speak, blaming it on others and then says the buck stops here.  He has never accepted any blame for anything he has done or said and never will.  That he would use Truman’s code of “the buck stops here”, to me, is disgusting.  Not only has he insulted Truman, but likening himself to Lincoln, FDR, and JFK is despicable.

Also Obama’s people are in the background picking out a person a day to attack and change the subject from their own ineptitude and are trying to keep the public ignorant to what this administration is doing and secretly planning.  For instance, spitting James Carville and Stanley Greenberg, a Democratic pollster, on the morning of the 911 terrorist acts, both said they wanted Bush to fail as President and after the attack asked the press to kill the story, which they did.  When Rush said he hoped Obama’s POLICIES would fail and Carville and the press came down on Rush hard, didn’t you think that was hypocrisy?  Also the Obama administration, to change the subject, has gone after Jim Cramer, Dick Cheney, and Rick Santelli.  Their actions in this regard will continue, and I don’t think prosecutors and law enforcement in Missouri would want to stop their actions, as they told people during the election they would prosecute anyone who said anything about Obama.   See attached video:

Did any of them get a post in the Obama administration?

Terence Corcoran: Is this the end of America?

Posted: March 19, 2009, 7:38 PM by NP Editor

U.S. law-making is riddled with slapdash, incompetence and gamesmanship

By Terence Corcoran

Helicopter Ben Bernanke’s Federal Reserve is dropping trillions of fresh paper dollars on the world economy, the President of the United States is cracking jokes on late night comedy shows, his energy minister is threatening a trade war over carbon emissions, his treasury secretary is dithering over a banking reform program amid rising concerns over his competence and a monumentally dysfunctional U.S. Congress is launching another public jihad against corporations and bankers.

As an aghast world — from China to Chicago and Chihuahua — watches, the circus-like U.S. political system seems to be declining into near chaos. Through it all, stock and financial markets are paralyzed. The more the policy regime does, the worse the outlook gets. The multi-ringed spectacle raises a disturbing question in many minds: Is this the end of America?

Probably not, if only because there are good reasons for optimism.  (continue reading…)

Swinging Gates for Swinging Politicians

More crooks around than there are swinging gates!

More crooks around than there are swinging gates!

Blago-Gate, Burris-Gate – still pending in Congress; more gates: Rangel-gate, Barney-gate, Jefferson-gate, Dodd-gate, Schumer-gate, Fanny-gate, Freddy-gate, Richardson-gate, Franken-gate. and all kinds of swinging gates – Democrats on a swinging gate, I do declare… they will land I know not where – these days of the incoming administration to represent change, but not supposed to be changed for the worst.

The Democratic 110th Congress, and now 111th, have been and look to be a complete failure.  Now the Democratic Congress is proposing to increase fuel taxes because people are driving less.  It would seem to me they would want to keep the prices low so people would have more disposable income for spending.  After all, ours is a consumer driven economy.  I know that the American citizens would not want to help Russia, Iran, and Venezuela in their attempt to undermine this country.  Why do you think our Congress, President, and speculators would?  I would think their duty would be to encourage drilling in this country to the maximum to keep the prices of oil low to encourage consumer spending and stop the designs and evil intentions of those countries, Iran, Russia, and Venezuela.  The price of oil has allowed them to continue these actions.  Russia has been using their oil to blackmail their neighbors and to rebuild their military.  Look at what they are doing to their neighbors, now withholding gas from the Baltic countries and Europe during this coldest winter in ages.

Iran is using theirs (oil revenue) to underwrite terrorist activities against Israel and all Western countries.  Venezuela is using theirs to try to undermine the USA by creating problems in Cuba and South America.  The Democrats refusing drilling in certain areas in our country and offshore are helping these three continue in their nefarious schemes.

Stimulus – the way it has been handled is disastrous for this country.  It has gotten completely out of hand, and the way it is handled is pure pandemonium and will not accomplish its aim in the way it is headed.  The interest rates have been dropped to encourage home buying.  This should not be the only area of interest cutting.  It should continue to credit cards, employee credit unions, local banks, etc.  That will do more for the economy than an out-of-control stimulus package.  The states want some, the housing industry wants some, the auto industry wants more, the steel industry needs some, and more and more are begging at the gate.  Our grandchildren, great grandchildren, and those who come later will not appreciate this hand-out program.  I still say the way to further our country is to do away with usurious rates of interest.

Another way to uplift our economy would be to have strong oversight over the stock market and the commodities markets to ensure that dealing in these markets is done in an honest way and ensure stringent controls be placed on speculators.

It is now time for the airlines, grocery chains and distributors, paper product manufacturers, and all manner of consumer products that raised their prices due to the price of oil as an excuse to start lowering their prices.  The prices of vegetables, meat, and dairy products were raised dramatically due to the costs of manufacturing and transportation.  Time to start the decline in prices.  The use of ethanol from corn has raised prices dramatically for meats such as beef, pork, and chicken.  Ethanol can be obtained from grasses, sugar cane, sugar beets, potatoes, and the list goes on and on.  The Democrats and the environmentalists have done more to destroy our economy than even Soros and his speculation activities have.  As far as medical and dental costs are concerned, the trial lawyers have raised them dramatically, and of course this has increased the costs of medicaid and medicare to the federal government and consequently to the taxpayers.  Another win by the Democrats and their trial lawyer base continues.

The greatest thing that could increase productivity and growth in our economy would be for honesty to prevail in the federal, state, and local government agencies.  I think there should be a cabinet post headed by Diogenes.

Financial Gurus: Helping the Poor Stay Poor!

"Think I'll invest with Madoff"

"Think I'll invest with Madoff"

The leading indicators have not shown it yet, but if the price of gas continues to fall, the billions put in to the economy by the money saved by consumers to spend on other things will start a comeback of the economy – slowly at first, but will make a big difference within 6 months.  This will make a bigger difference than the bailout and saving the Big Three.  If the auto companies were allowed to take Chapter 11, their recovery and saving of their companies will happen sooner than it would with this bailout.

Have heard financial analysts saying how the cheaper gas is a destructive influence on the economy.  I beg to differ and wonder if this shows any amount of common sense.  I think that Harvard, Yale, and all those elitists colleges and universities in their teaching of these offspring of the elitists somehow erases any amount of common sense they have accumulated.  I also heard one of these financial “gurus” saying the changes in credit card billing will only hurt the poor.  I don’t think he is aware of how many poor people are being able to only pay the interests due and will be paying off this interest forever.  Help to the poor would be better served by placing a maximum of 12 percent interest on all credit cards.  The credit card companies will still thrive and offer a chance for the poor to be able to help in restoring the economy.

I know that the credit card companies are paying off the politicians by use of their lobbyists to continue to screw the American poor, and that is just another way they pad their wallets, and I doubt that there are very many honest Senators or representatives to take any action.  Poor Diogenes would use up many lanterns looking for an honest man in Washington.

Speculators are at it again with oil – raising prices AGAIN, predicated on OPEC cutting production.  They can rest easy.  They will say they are cutting production, but Iran, Russia, and Venezuela may say they are going to cut and many other countries will say they are, but they won’t.  Many of them are hurting and need every cent they can raise from their major cash crop.  Should the price of oil fall further, which it would if allowed to, Russia, Iran, and Venezuela will lose their ability to underwrite terrorist groups, spread dissension, threaten their neighbors, and expand their sphere of influence.

Lowest rate ever on funds by the Fed – highest interests rates ever for credit cards, affecting 90 percent of this country – this doesn’t affect the rich because they pay on receipt of their bill and don’t end up paying these usurious rates.  Many of the poor are now on the cycle that they are only able to pay the interest and can use its service no longer.  How this is a boon to the poor, as some financial gurus are prone to say, escapes me.

There are some who got on this cycle by having to use these charges for medical needs, repair needs, or other necessities, and once caught in that trap the credit companies just sit back and watch the money roll in.  I know that I am hung up on this and seem to repeat myself.  What got me started again was when the news started blaring about how the Fed cut the interest rates to the lowest ever and all the financial wizards were shouting with GLEE!  Another thing was how the Madoff investors were being classified as victims.  That is not quite true.  They were caught up in GREED and Madoff used their greed to bring them to slaughter.  Now there is talk about helping them get some of their money back from the government.  Had they made those fantastic returns they had hoped, I don’t think they would have offered some of it to the government.

I find the notion that they should be felt sorry for and efforts made to recover some of their funds reprehensible.  They were caught by their greed and just showed their humanity.  Seems that the government is intent upon bailing out the rich.  It makes me sick.  When Congress makes an effort to cut the usurious rates, the poor are charged.  Stop the credit card company robberies – I might think differently.

The bank pays one-quarter percent for their money, then their credit card branch charges 20 to 30 percent on their credit cards.  Think about it.  Until these changes are made by use of common sense and possibly an honest politician leads this change, I will reserve my pity for the rich.

One thing for clarification, I must say I don’t have any credit cards, even though I get at least 2 offers a week.  I don’t think the poor will ever inherit the earth, even though the Bible says they will.  Shysters will keep on robbing until they own the earth.  Let’s hope I am wrong.
