Positions McCain Would Have To Change For My Vote…
The main reason that keeps me from working for the Democratic party is the power of the President to appoint people to the Supreme Court and lessor court positions. I said I wouldn’t vote for McCain unless he changes his positions - I will NOT change mine!
Positions he’d have to change for my vote:
- He will have to say he will not allow amnesty for 20 million illegal immigrants to make the Democratic party so strong with the Latino vote that the Conservative party will not exist.
- He will have to make a statement that he will not attempt to deny free speech as he did with McCain/Feingold to protect incumbents in office.
- He will make an effort to allow drilling in ANWR.
- He will have to express himself to the terrorists being held in GITMO and not brought in to this nation for massive amounts of money to be paid to lawyers to defend
their rightsand give them Miranda rights from the taxpayers of this country. - He will have to make someone, other than Huckabee, his Vice President, because after the West Virginia deal, it smelled fishy and looked like one of those old smoke filled back room deals of the past.
- He will have to say he will not allow embryonic stem cell research.
- He will have to say he will not make a lot of spending and spreading of government programs to fight global warming, which by the way does not exist.
- Did he actually say that Judge Scalia was TOO Conservative? And will he confer with Democrats on his choices for judicial nominees?
As to the possibility of Huckabee being the nominee, he is a bigger hypocrite than McCain.
I’ll Just Have to Write Romney’s Name In!
Then in West Virginia, when Romney had the most votes, a supporter of McCain from Louisiana came in and told McCain’s voters that McCain wanted them to throw their votes to Huckabee in order to defeat Romney. Whether it’s illegal or not is subject to discussion, but it is definitely sleazy. The collusion by McCain and Huckabee is as plain as the nose on your face. Neither of them talk about the other, but both slime Romney in any way they can. I guess Huckabee is set to be McCain’s veep, which will be the final fatal blow to the Republican party. As it stands now, the damage is probably irrevocable and will split the Republican party so badly it will not survive.
I know if McCain becomes the nominee, I am a Conservative who will not vote for McCain in any circumstance. I will vote for local, state, and government offices, but will write in Romney or vote for Obama. It is the only time since Eisenhower was my first vote that I have had to face this dilemma. I know McCain and his tired, old Washington insider friends think it is only the Conservative talk radio hosts that feel he is a Democrat in Republican clothing, but they will find out differently.
I guess I would be considered a evangelical Christian, but I am not for use of religion to smear and tear down someone and use it for political purposes, and I am ashamed of the evangelicals that went along with Huckabee on this route.
Heard McCain say this a.m. that he sees Obama and Hillary moving further and further left. I wonder if they are further left than he. I know one thing - that is if he is elected, he will build the Democratic party with the amnesty of 20 million illegal immigrants, and when they get the vote, the Republican party will cease to exist - goodbye two party system.

Those who believe that the Clintons had nothing to do with the lawsuit about moving the caucus out of where the Democrats had set it up to be also believe that the Earth is flat. Sure is funny - everything was going along swimmingly until the culinary workers union gave their endorsement to Obama. Never saw Bill’s face so flushed since the Wallace interview. Sure hope he doesn’t have a heart attack.
I saw Hillary’s stewardess, or flight attendants act. All I will say is I would suggest she doesn’t do an encore performance. The Clintons will continue to use dirty tactics. They will just be more careful in how they use innuendo accidental remarks, but not accidentally. Bill will continue to complain about the media being unfair. He can’t understand why the media’s love affair with him is cooling. The only media completely in love with the Clintons now is the Clinton News Network. You can tell they are by their polls - Hillary is always up far more than any other poll. There is no doubt that polls DO influence. That is why I always dissect polls to see if some pollster is trying to influence the vote. Anyone who thinks pollsters don’t do this believe the cow did jump over the moon.
Now let’s go over the records of John McCain and Mike Huckabee, even though they think to mention their records is an ATTACK. John McCain worked to take free speech out of politics with Feingold - you remember, the McCain/Feingold Act. He worked with Teddy Kennedy, the Olympic swimmer, to try to give 12 to 20 million Latinos amnesty. This was scotched by the American people raising their voices in a louder manner than had been done previously.
McCain voted against Bush’s tax cuts twice. Now he says he would vote to extend them (he says). He said he would close the border (he says). He talks about all his years in the Senate. What did HE do? A lot (he says). He did work with the Democrats quite extensively (he says) and (he did). Guess who helped to keep drilling from being conducted in ANWR? (He did). He always brings up his war record. I know REAL war heroes who would NEVER use it for advancement. He talks about being a straight shooter. I guess he proves this by how he opposed Bush at every turn with the Democrats. He says he is a straight shooter (he says). He talks about how honest he is - let’s not forget the Keating Five. Somehow I think this record needs to be examined.

For those who say Clinton was a good President, consider this: he used what he called the peace dividend and cut the military - then as the terrorists bombed our embassies, the first attack on the towers, the Cole, he took NO action. When the Monica incident happened, he, being the tail, wagged the dog and sent the Air Force into Bosnia, and after a few months, the Serbian forces gave up. Our great General there at the time was Wesley Clark. Should Hillary win the election, guess who her Secretary of Defense would be? And as far as I am concerned, he would be another Secretary of Defense in the manner of another Democrat, Les Aspen - remember Black Hawk Down?
I am sure world opinion was glad to see us put our tail between our legs and leave Somalia. The Clinton administration didn’t rock the boat, and the reason the economy was good was because of the Republicans taking back the Congress in 1994. They passed the welfare program and some other programs, which Clinton signed, and they helped the economy. Then the dot com bubble came, and when it burst in 2000, we went into recession and Bush inherited the problem - what with all Clinton’s skulduggery, giving technology to China and in return getting campaign contributions from them. This continues with Hillary and Norman Hsu. I don’t know what happened to Charlie Tree, Clinton’s buddy.
As far as Bill’s morality is concerned, it was like a dog in heat. The Democrats didn’t mind his rape and sexual harassment. I would say this reflects quite poorly on Democrats who froth at the mouth if some Republican does something wrong. Remember Foley? But Barney Frank had a gay sex bordello in his home and nothing happened. John Tower was known as a womanizer and drinker and he was denied a cabinet post because of this - double standards abound. Senator Packwood was forced to resign for groping women, but Clinton could rape and grope and the Democrats LOVE him. I ask you, would you want Clinton back in the White House with his wife?
The winning of the Iowa caucus by Huckabee doesn’t prove that he would be a good President - only that the evangelist Christians in Iowa can easily be led like sheep by a good huckster, not a good shepherd. Huckabee, with his guitar playing, sorta reminds me of “A Face in the Crowd” - check that out. I don’t think he is the goody two shoes people think he is, and he is definitely not a Conservative - look at his record on taxes and immigration, also crime. Not my cup of tea! How come he is not getting beat up like Dukakis did in releasing a criminal who killed again? What about his pardoning a record number of criminals?

While this fiasco election, called Iowa State Caucus, is unfolding, this date I will write about a few other things.
The Democratic Congress is starting off the new year in their usual way - no legislation, but lots of investigations. They did this all through 2007 and now are continuing into 2008. They are now after CIA agents who might have used some unusual methods to gain information from terrorists to save American lives. That doesn’t matter to the Democrats. All they want to do is take away all tools available to secure our safety and to embarrass the Republican party. They have ruined many lives by their allegations, which they use as weapons, whether based in fact or not.
We know how they participated in helping Bill ruin the lives of Kathleen Willey, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick, and lie straight out to the American people about Monica Lewinsky. And he also lied to the Grand Jury. And boy do they cover for their own - Jack Murtha, Alcee Hastings, Barney Frank, the Cold Cash Kid (William Jefferson), and then they go with vigor to attack Republicans for any and everything. One instance of this is Senator Conrad Burns, who was defeated due to their allegations and long knives, but has been cleared of all allegations.
The politics of energy has reared its ugly head. Constantly during the past few years, no action has been taken except subsidizing crops that can be used for ethanol, which will make these crops too high in price for the farmers feeding out beef, pork, chicken, etc. It will represent the highest grocery prices ever and will hurt, drastically, poor families, but will make the environmental nuts feel good and will not hurt them because they are in the main, children of liberal activists with wealth, and have never faced any real obstacles. In other words, they are rich brats, such as Robert Kennedy Jr. and Al Gore.
If congress was really concerned, they could open up Alaska and use the oil shale in the western states. This would help, immeasurably, our balance of payments and would lower the deficit. There will be no action taken on this by Congress. It’s the same as the social security problem, which they will not touch.

Watching the stock market these days, it’s easy to see by the fluctuations in the market that an SEC investigation into those large corporations manipulating the market with computer buying and selling should be due. These practices will not encourage Joe or Mary citizen to participate. I am amazed by how they take the same factors to say it’s time to buy, then shortly afterward the same factor appears and they say “It’s time to sell.” Exploiting of the economy for their greed should be a matter of great concern to the SEC. If you were a conspiracy theorist, you might say the SEC is in league with them or taking a few bribes, and if they are participating in buying and selling stocks, they should be prosecuted. The manipulating of the oil futures should also be investigated.
With the ethanol fiasco, I can imagine what the manipulations of corn, wheat, and soybean futures will do to the cost of food in the coming months. Beef, pork, lamb, and chicken meats will reach much higher prices. Milk, eggs, and cheese and all products in which they will be used will increase in price. I wonder if they might consider putting the cost of food back in the inflation index. Is it any wonder that they took the cost of food out of the inflation index?
Like everyone else, I have been watching the election and the polls. There is only one thing I will say for sure - if Huckabee gets the nomination, I will stay home for the first time since voting for Eisenhower in 1956. I would also stay home if Ron Paul got the nomination, which is highly unlikely. The Democrats have been using hate Bush, fear, and doom and gloom in their messages to their voters. As a party, they have always been the party of pessimism and despair.
Here we all are on pins and needles waiting for the outcome of this fake election in Iowa. I know it wasn’t Hillary that crossed the picket line to appear on a late night show - it was the Huckster on Jay Leno. I guess he don’t think social Conservatives or evangelists belong to unions. I think he has put the evangelists in Iowa on the same par as the Arkansas evangelists. I hope they prove him wrong. Arkansas, especially Hope, Arkansas, must have a training program for slick politicians. First there was Slick Willy, now there is Slick Huckster.
They talk about Hillary’s negatives. Huckabee’s are going to be a lot worse if he wins the nomination - God help the nation!

The media and the Democrats are striving to bring the economy down so it can be used in the same false way it was used against Bush #41 in the 1992 election by Bubba and his hatchet crowd. Does the name James Carville come to mind? On this one subject, he used more spit than has ever been used in a campaign. This President has had more back stabbing from former Presidents than any other President ever has. This was not done prior to his administration. Carter and Clinton have been very vicious in their attacks on him while in office, and this was never done before.
Now Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the federal reserve, married to a Democratic operative - supposed journalist, is adding his two cents to try to topple the economy, even though his actions alone caused this mortgage crisis. I guess the age of courtesy went out in the age of the Clinton administration.
I love the way the city council in Philadelphia is having hearings on Geno’s sign to “speak English when ordering please.” Seems to me since they are the murder capital of the United States, also the cop-killer capital of the United States, they would be meeting on these matters, not Geno’s sign. I guess they think Geno’s policy for his steak and cheese is worse than murder. By the way, Geno is my hero and I wish her were running for President. He would have my vote. To get a city council like that, they must allow illegal immigrants to vote. Surely no reasonable citizens would vote for such a city council… Similar to the way Iowa is going for the Huckster - it belies belief.
Now Aruba has closed the case on Natalee Holloway’s murder. They are like California in letting murderer’s go free. At least in Aruba they had no evidence. In California, you only have to be a celebrity. I have been waiting for an earthquake to tear California off the coast and have it float out to sea. Guess my wishes are all for naught.
I was watching Tom Tancredo, on Neil Cavuto’s program on Fox, speaking with passion about the two border agents hung out to dry by Johnny Sutton, a friend, I have heard, of President Bush. He doesn’t choose his friends well. Cavuto was more concerned about the food police taking away cupcakes. I don’t think he was too concerned about the border agents as to whether they had been treated fairly or not.

Cities giving IDs and drivers licenses to illegals - are they trying to invite another 9/11? Maybe the next time it will be in San Francisco - perhaps their city hall. Wouldn’t that be a blast? Sorry for the pun. The Democrats preach tolerance for illegal immigrants. Tolerance is not the same as rule of law and strength in government. I say if the United States government cannot enforce their own laws in this country, they should hang up their hat. Allowing cities, towns, and states to either subvert the laws of immigration, or participate in breaking the law, how can we expect Iraq to govern itself?
The liberals are even using the Constitution to try to prove their message that God should not appear in anything. We should be a completely secular nation. I would argue against this with these arguments. The signers of the Declaration of Independance were not athiests or Muslims. Church attendance was almost 100% in the first colonies. Words like divine providence and our creator were used extensively. The signers pledged their lives and fortunes in their efforts to achieve freedom, and in many cases lost BOTH.
The Democrats would have the United Nations to ensure our freedom. Look at how they have solved the problems in Burma, Sudan, Lebanon, and countries in Africa. This staff the Democrats would lean on is nothing but graft and corruption, with Russia and China ruling the security council. It seems the major concern of the United Nations is how to condemn Israel, use tactics to undermine the United States and its interests, allowing Iran and North Korea to thumb their noses at the world. If we were not in the United Nations, we would receive the same cooperation as we do now - NONE. We’d also save ourselves a great sum of money.
If Hillary wins the Presidency, I am sure she will fight terrorism as her husband did. In other words, not at all. Why do you think Pockets Berger stole those documents? They documented Clinton’s failures. The Democratic Congress is making every effort to make us abandon Iraq for their political purposes as they did with Vietnam. The trouble they’ve started with Turkey was purposeful to keep our military from using routes through Turkey to make it easier for our logistics required for our efforts in Iraq. I used to think Democrats were patriots also, just misguided. But I no longer think that. Wouldn’t it be nice instead of making trouble, they would turn their efforts to the nation’s needs?

Noticed where the Breck girl, Edwards, is going to apply for matching funds from the government. I thought this was a path taken by candidates with no funds of their own. Last time I heard, he himself had $50 million. This was after he dug his hands into hedge funds after his years of enriching himself as a trial lawyer. Too bad he hadn’t been better friends with Norman Hsu. He says there are two Americas. Which one is he now? Will he be allowed to use these matching funds for $400 haircuts, or to fly his beautician in at a greater cost? Where is China on the Burma riots and murders? Seems they always scotch efforts to give their own people civil rights and those in Iran, and North Korea that are horribly abused. Now all of the Asian countries, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and others are having their own people protest this. I know what would get China’s attention - if all of these same countries, United States, England, France, and Germany said they would boycott the 2008 Olympic Games in China. They want to show off their country. I think that would show off their country alright, but not quite the way they want. They don’t hesitate to play dirty to get their own way. Why should we, the free domocracies, not use the same tactics to get them to cooperate with us on terrorists - on de-funding a lot of their programs to undermine democracies and to become a world partner on peaceful persuits. Nancy Pelosi said today that she reached out to President Bush about the fantastic increase in the S-chip program. This was purely political and will cover the children of illegal immigrants. I think these immigrants have deprived a large amount of Americans in several ways. They have come into this country like a plague of locusts, and no efforts have been made to stop them. They must not be allowed to destroy our country. Pelosi remarked she has prayed and reached out to President Bush to approve this. When she reaches out, he should watch out for a brick in her hand. I would say she to be listened to requires the suspension of disbelief. The Democratic party has also placed extra protection for homosexuals in the defense appropriation. They have no shame adding anything to bills required just to add a few more votes. I sincerely hope he vetoes this bill and the other on S-chips. I also sincerely hope the Democrats start to think of their country, and not of a few extra votes they can buy.

The media’s integrity - who you kiddin?
I hear on TV news how the talking heads speak about destroying Iran’s nuclear program by bombing or to replace the regime by undermining the current regime using special ops and other means. One thing that would cause dissension within the Iranian government and create impossible problems for them - they, like the United States, are very short sighted and do not have enough refineries to furnish their own gas needs and have to import it. Their needs and their citizens needs could be put in jeopardy by a blockade. If I am not mistaken, the last time this happened, where they had a shortage of gas, it brought on riots and burning down of stations. It must require a lot of gas to transport materials from one of their MANY nuclear facilities to the rest of them.
If all the funds from France, USA, and England were stopped, there would be major problems, and if corporations from these same countries stopped doing business with Iran, their GDP would drop dramatically, and their economy would CRASH. The U.N. won’t take ANY action, so the USA and all of old and new Europe SHOULD. Let’s face it, Russia and China are NEVER going to be interested in doing anything for the WORLD. Their interests are turned inwards, which is not about freedom, but continuing control of their own people and denying them the freedoms other countries aspire to.
The media seems to show no interest in covering stories in any way but agenda based. There are two stories just begging to be covered, but with our media they probably never will be. One, the number of murders and injuries in the United States during the same period as the time our young men and women have been in harms way in Iraq and Afghanistan, and then the correlation of one to the other. Two, the number of murders and injuries commited by illegal immigrants during the same period, and then the correlation of one to the other. Of course, these stories will never be covered.
Seems it is so easy to squash stories that you don’t agree with. Case in point: Story about Hillary in Gentlemen’s Quarterly that was unflattering and was killed by Bill. Whatever happened to freedom of the press and the First Ammendment? This requires the suspension of disbelief that this could happen in a free democracy. Where is the outrage? Imagine if that had been the Bush administration. What would the reaction have been from our ultra-liberal media?
