Whistleblower Site Shut Down - Freedom Suffers!

Can you blow the whistle anymore?

A whistle blower site forced to be removed from the internet makes me wonder about our alleged free speech, if we really do have that, or is it just a fallacy? Don’t forget McCain/Feingold also took away free speech in politics. This reoccurring problem makes me fear that democracy is on its way out.

I saw Bush #41 endorsement of McCain - heard his remarks about the Conservatives’ stupidity - heard him say that McCain is a man of character and reaches out, even to the other side. He sure does! Now, in this day and age, in deference to the voters he is trying to reach, would it seem quite seemly of him to reach out to his own party? I also saw Lawrence Eagleburger, who I admire, call those Conservatives who are not enthralled with candidate McCain reactionaries. I still find it unbelievable that, according to Bush #41 and Lawrence Eagleburger, McCain has a right to his principals and integrity, and that takes priority over Conservatives’ rights to principals, integrity, and rights to self-expression. After all, I thought that was reputedly the so called American way.

I have always thought that candidates are supposed to reach out to the voters they wish to obtain. Now it seems they are to reach out to certain segments and the rest are to blindly follow - how sad. This makes me think of that old use of the Judas goat to have the sheep blindly follow to the slaughter house - for me that is a “No thank you!”

Bob Geldof gave credit where credit was due!

Something happened that I never expected. I saw an article that was actually praising Bush for something he did. I nearly fainted. Seems a singing star named Bob Geldof, who has been involved in helping Africa for years, especially with the Live Aid Concert in 1985, actually had the audacity of criticizing the media for their condemnation and unfair treatment of President Bush. One thing you can say for him, he has stood by his principals and commitments without regard for polls, personal popularity, condemnation by the media, Democrats, and hate mongers in waiting. He has striven heartily for freedoms here and throughout the world with no thought for his personal glory. On the other side, Clinton received blind adulation from the news media, even with his morality issues and making no moves without checking the polls first, and whatever he did was to do that which would bring him personal glory and of course self-gratification, as in the case of Monica.

To My Consternation… Should We Hold Our Noses?

I can't - Even holding my nose!

To my consternation, McCain was elected in Florida, and now I must fear for my country. The reason I find it hard to believe, I will explain with an analogy. Reminds me of a member of a board of directors who voted four times against the board, and all four times it was the right thing to do. Then they allowed him to remain on the board and gave him the opportunity to stay and make further mistakes. As a stockholder in this country, I resent this action, but can do nothing about it except vote for Romney in the only election I can vote in, which I will do - even holding my nose as McCain’s mother said, I will not vote for McCain unless Hillary becomes the Democratic nominee, then I might vote for McCain, but I am not sure about that.

To me it seems my Republican party is listing to the left and may very well sink in heavy waves. He is the biggest flip-flopper in the Republican party and almost on a par with Hillary. I have been disappointed in a few elections since Eisenhower, but this is the biggest disappointment of all. I was always taught that you don’t cry over spilled milk, however when one politician is carrying the milk for the country and he spills it and deprives the whole country of a great part of their diet for food and nourishment, then I worry.

I am so glad I don’t have an infected ulcer. If I did, I would worry myself to death! I will try to keep my tears from falling on this article. I will add but one thing to this - I hope during the rest of the primaries, will see to it that he doesn’t win and our country will survive even if he does win with his ill temper and closeness with the liberal Democratic party.

Now back to the tv cameras in the Senate. They are back in session and stroking their egos again. The judicial committee meeting, with an effort to force Mukasey to declare water-boarding torture - they do love the cameras. They have kicked the FISA Bill down the road for 15 days to obtain more coverage to salve their egos. They are also seeing how much they can add to the stimulus package that the House passed - also how much attention the Press will give them. I will be glad when these old prima donnas in the House and Senate pack their bags and go away. I know they will miss their glory days in the sun.

The flags know what’s best for the U.S.

Are you superstitious?

Now that Hillary has brought out the fact that young people are concerned about global warming, what will she and Gore do when a few years go by and we move towards global cooling? How will they deal with dis-enchanted young people, victims of the BIGGEST scam ever devised? Is it any wonder that Clinton’s VP and his “stand by your man” wife are scam artists? What else would you expect?

Just saw the flags falling as Hillary left the podium after a speech. What does this signify and bode for this country if she should win the Presidency? John McCain is an absolute hypocrite. The McCain/Feingold Bill made a hole for 527s with no way of knowing the contributors. Now he has one sponsored by Lindsey Graham who has always wanted to be McCain’s VP. Now I hear another 527 is rearing its head for him in California. Anyone who says 527s are not corrupt is trying to fool the public, just like Democrats are prone to do.

Just saw a Mike Huckabee video from when he was a governor in Arkansas. Seems he likes any kind of tax. Also, he was on the wrong side of the immigration problem - another one taken off my list with McCain, Ron Paul. I hope the others fare better.

The Democratic Presidential candidates have finally started to entertain us. It has been so boring watching Obama and Edwards going along with the coronation of Hillary as the standard bearer. Until now, all we’ve had was Kucinich seeing UFO, Edwards getting a haircut, Biden not stooping to plagiarism, and Dodd moving to Iowa. Now I am waiting for some more entertainment. I expect hubby Bill will be the main source of same. I understand he has taken up residence in Iowa. Hillary better have her detectives on duty. Let’s face it, Bill has to have his fun even if he has to fight women for it. Besides which, he has many waiting and willing participants. I guess Hillary is not only cold in the way she speaks, but apparently in other ways. God help Bill - if he says something she doesn’t like, they will need the War Room.

I know NOTHING - NOTHING!

I see where McCain’s momma is speaking for him, Edward’s wife for him, Bill for Hillary - shades of Tipper. I don’t know if any of them have hired someone to tell them how to dress, as Naomi Wolf did for Gore at $15,000 a month to make him an alpha male. I have a feeling the Democrats will fail in their plans to arrive at a hegemonic society. The changes they promised in the ‘06 election have not only been short of completion, they have done NOTHING, NOTHING. They remind me of Sargent Schultz in the movie Stalag 17 who always said “I know NOTHING - NOTHING!” By the way, why can’t Hollywood make military movies like that instead of message movies by leftists in Hollywood?
