Obama Destroys America’s Morale

A relationship not worth sustaining anymore.  Enough political correctness already!

A relationship not worth sustaining anymore.  Enough political correctness already!

I see where Obama is concerned about spending.  You can tell this by how concerned he is about spending $40 billion to send the additional troops to Afghanistan as requested by General McChrystal.  He didn’t mind giving Citibank $45 billion in the bailout of the banks.  What are they doing with these funds?  They are not loaning it out for businesses – bonuses maybe, and buying gold and investing for more money!  Then of course Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac got billions and billions and are now asking for more.  However, now they are going into rentals, keeping those who bought houses they couldn’t afford inside those homes.  I understand many of them are free rentals and Fannie and Freddie will be doing the repairs and maintenance.  Good use of taxpayers money…. I think not!

Obama and the Democrats are using all of their time and efforts to pass a budget busting, physically irresponsible bill.  With their health care bill, they have put in a part to have people who don’t get their insurance, when passed, face massive fines and jail time.  Unconstitutional is the softest expression I can use to describe this.  I can’t use the language that would really apply.  There are other things in this bill that are covered up with double-speak.  There is no tort reform.  Lawyers give the Democrats half of their campaign funds.  There is also no putting into place policies that would allow crossing state lines by insurance companies to encourage competition by the insurance companies.  This might also allow them to compete with the plan by the Democrats to have government take over health care in total.  What a tragedy that would be.

From Sunlen Miller:

During an exclusive interview with ABC News’ Jake Tapper today, President Obama said that penalties are appropriate for people who try to “free ride” the health care system but stopped short of endorsing the threat of jail time for those who refuse to pay a fine for not having insurance.

“What I think is appropriate is that in the same way that everybody has to get auto insurance and if you don’t, you’re subject to some penalty, that in this situation, if you have the ability to buy insurance, it’s affordable and you choose not to do so, forcing you and me and everybody else to subsidize you, you know, there’s a thousand dollar hidden tax that families all across America are — are burdened by because of the fact that people don’t have health insurance, you know, there’s nothing wrong with a penalty.”

Under the House bill those who can afford to buy insurance and don’t’ pay a fine. If the refuse to pay that fine there’s a threat – as with a lot of tax fines – of jail time. The Senate removed that provision in the Senate Finance Committee.

Mr. Obama said penalties have to be high enough for people to not game the system, but it’s also important to not be “so punitive” that people who are having a hard time find themselves suddenly worse off, thus why hardship exemptions have been built in the legislation.

“I think the general broad principle is simply that people who are paying for their health insurance aren’t subsidizing folks who simply choose not to until they get sick and then suddenly they expect free health insurance.  That’s — that’s basic concept of responsibility that I think most Americans abide by,” Mr. Obama said, “penalties are appropriate for people who try to free ride the system and force others to pay for their health insurance.”

The President said that he didn’t think the question over the appropriateness of possible jail time is the “biggest question” the House and Senate are facing right now.

We have had free speech in this country since it was founded.  Even Father Charles Coughlin and the German Bund, prior to World War II, were allowed to speak antisemitism and communism against Jews and others they hated.  The Muslims in this country are allowed to speak openly, espousing their views currently.  FDR put in internment camps for the Japanese people, some Germans and Italians during World War II and now, because of political correctness, no Muslims may be questioned, even if they espouse views encouraging other Muslims in other parts of the world to hate and portray violence on America and its citizens.  They cannot be questioned and so our world towers were attacked by Muslims.  This is what caused the Fort Hood terrorist act and an effort is being made to place this terrorist act as the work of a madman.  BULLSHIT!

The Third Reich would not allow anyone to speak in dissent and Americans voiced our disapproval.  Now, in this country, efforts are being made to stifle dissent.  It isn’t anymore “Loose lips sink ships,” but “Dissent cannot be voiced by American citizens because loose lips can sink an administration.”  That is horrible.  See the following article:

In a case that raises questions about online journalism and privacy rights, the U.S. Department of Justice sent a formal request to an independent news site ordering it to provide details of all reader visits on a certain day.

The grand jury subpoena also required the Philadelphia-based Indymedia.us Web site “not to disclose the existence of this request” unless authorized by the Justice Department, a gag order that presents an unusual quandary for any news organization.

Kristina Clair, a 34-year old Linux administrator living in Philadelphia who provides free server space for Indymedia.us, said she was shocked to receive the Justice Department’s subpoena. (The Independent Media Center is a left-of-center amalgamation of journalists and advocates that – according to their principles of unity and mission statement – work toward “promoting social and economic justice” and “social change.”)

The subpoena (PDF) from U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison in Indianapolis demanded “all IP traffic to and from www.indymedia.us” on June 25, 2008. It instructed Clair to “include IP addresses, times, and any other identifying information,” including e-mail addresses, physical addresses, registered accounts, and Indymedia readers’ Social Security Numbers, bank account numbers, credit card numbers, and so on.

“I didn’t think anything we were doing was worthy of any (federal) attention,” Clair said in a telephone interview with CBSNews.com on Monday. After talking to other Indymedia volunteers, Clair ended up calling the Electronic Frontier Foundation in San Francisco, which represented her at no cost.

Under long-standing Justice Department guidelines, subpoenas to members of the news media are supposed to receive special treatment. One portion of the guidelines, for instance, says that “no subpoena may be issued to any member of the news media” without “the express authorization of the attorney general” – that would be current attorney general Eric Holder – and subpoenas should be “directed at material information regarding a limited subject matter.”

Still unclear is what criminal investigation U.S. Attorney Morrison was pursuing. Last Friday, a spokeswoman initially promised a response, but Morrison sent e-mail on Monday evening saying: “We have no comment.” The Justice Department in Washington, D.C. also declined to respond.

Kevin Bankston, a senior staff attorney at the San Francisco-based Electronic Frontier Foundation, replied to the Justice Department on behalf of his client in a February 2009 letter (PDF) outlining what he described as a series of problems with the subpoena, including that it was not personally served, that a judge-issued court order would be required for the full logs, and that Indymedia did not store logs in the first place.

Morrison replied in a one-sentence letter saying the subpoena had been withdrawn. Around the same time, according to the EFF, the group had a series of discussions with assistant U.S. attorneys in Morrison’s office who threatened Clair with possible prosecution for obstruction of justice if she disclosed the existence of the already-withdrawn subpoena — claiming it “may endanger someone’s health” and would have a “human cost.”

Lucy Dalglish, the executive director of the Reporters Committee for Freedom of The Press, said a gag order to a news organization wouldn’t stand up in court: “If you get a subpoena and you’re a journalist, they can’t gag you.”

Dalglish said that a subpoena being issued and withdrawn is not unprecedented. “I have seen any number of these things withdrawn when counsel for someone who is claiming a reporter’s privilege says, ‘Can you tell me the date you got approval from the attorney general’s office’… I’m willing to chalk this up to bad lawyering on the part of the DOJ, or just not thinking.”

Making this investigation more mysterious is that Indymedia.us is an aggregation site, meaning articles that appear on it were published somewhere else first, and there’s no hint about what sparked the criminal probe. Clair, the system administrator, says that no IP (Internet Protocol) addresses are recorded for Indymedia.us, and non-IP address logs are kept for a few weeks and then discarded.

EFF’s Bankston wrote a second letter to the government saying that, if it needed to muzzle Indymedia, it should apply for a gag order under the section of federal law that clearly permits such an order to be issued. Bankston’s plan: To challenge that law on First Amendment grounds.

But the Justice Department never replied. “This is the first time we’ve seen them try to get the IP address of everyone who visited a particular site,” Bankston said. “That it was a news organization was an additional troubling fact that implicates First Amendment rights.”

This is not, however, the first time that the Feds have focused on Indymedia — a Web site whose authors sometimes blur the line between journalism, advocacy, and on-the-streets activism. In 2004, the Justice Department sent a grand jury subpoena asking for information about who posted lists of Republican delegates while urging they be given an unwelcome reception at the party’s convention in New York City that year. A Indymedia hosting service in Texas once received a subpoena asking for server logs in relation to an investigation of an attempted murder in Italy.

Bankston has written a longer description of the exchange of letters with the Justice Department, which he hopes will raise awareness of how others should respond to similar legal demands for Web logs, customer records, and compulsory silence. “Our fear is that this kind of bogus gag order is much more common than one would hope, considering they’re legally baseless,” Bankston says. “We’re telling this story in hopes that more providers will press back and go public when the government demands their silence.”

Update 1:59pm E.T.: A Justice Department official familiar with this subpoena just told me that the attorney general’s office never saw it and that it had not been submitted to the department’s headquarters in Washington, D.C. for review. If that’s correct, it suggests that U.S. Attorney Tim Morrison and Assistant U.S. Attorney Doris Pryor did not follow department regulations requiring the “express authorization of the attorney general” for media subpoenas — and it means that neither Attorney General Eric Holder nor Acting Attorney General Mark Filip were involved. I wouldn’t be surprised to see an internal investigation by the Office of Professional Responsibility; my source would not confirm or deny that.

There has been a current example of money buying votes by the Obama administration for the passing of the House health care bill.  Buying votes and earmarks have destroyed any confidence in our elected officials.  Jesus drove the money changers from the temple.  Now those politicians sit in Washington.  The only danger to them is the voters.  I hope they come through.  Let’s hope there is no march on Washington by the unemployed.

Obama: The Greatest Divider Points Fingers

Divide and Conquer - is that what his smile is about?

Divide and Conquer - is that what his smile is about?

This talk of holding people responsible for their actions – no one is above the law – Clinton gave perjured testimony – let’s go back and send him to jail.  The two embassy bombings, World Trade Center bombings, USS Cole bombing, the 9/11 all lay at Clinton’s and his adviser’s doors.  Jamie Gorelick and Janet Reno should also be prosecuted for Waco and Ruby Ridge and the 9/11 attack.  Pockets Berger should be sent to jail for stealing State secrets, the same sentence spies get.  Many of this whole pack of advisers were with Bill Clinton that are now Obama’s advisers.  Let’s go back to Truman and his advisers and the dropping of two atomic bombs, the taking over of the steel mills – should we prosecute them in absentia?  Then of course FDR took many unlawful actions, and took away habeas corpus from thousands of Japanese Americans and placed them in concentration camps.  I think that’s what Janet Napolitano wants to do with Conservatives and veterans.  The Japanese Americans didn’t fight back, but I have an idea the Conservatives WILL FIGHT BACK!

JFK advisers had him take away the air cover for the Cuban Freedom Fighters, and we know what happened.  Then because of that he put us in danger from the nuclear weapons Russia placed in Cuba.  He sent us in to the Vietnam war without going before Congress.  It was continued by LBJ and Nixon.  Whose fault was it?  Why not go back to Lincoln?  He took away the rights of habeas corpus, had soldiers shot that fell asleep while on guard duty, no matter the circumstance.  Should all these past Presidents be prosecuted and all their advisers also prosecuted is beyond common sense and logic.  One more thing, should President Taylor be prosecuted for the Trail of Tears and hundreds of thousands of dead Cherokees?

When Obama was elected would he have said he was elected for taking up partners with DailyKos, MoveOn.org, Huffington Post, and George Soros?  Will he ever be his own man?  I honestly don’t think so.  He was going to unite the country, do away with partisanship – what kind of idiots does he think we are?  He is the GREATEST divider of this country there ever has been.

Now let’s talk about the culture of corruption in Congress now.  A new graduate to this culture is Dianne Feinstein and another just recently added was Jane Harman.  They joined John Murtha, Charles Rangel, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Barney Frank, Jerry Nadler, Barbara Boxer, Roland Burris, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, Gregory Meeks, and Patrick Leahy.  Several of these were the ones who would not allow any oversight to be made regarding Fannie and Freddie, could also have a bearing on the current suicide od David Kellerman.  It’s not only Congress, but our smiling Cheshire cat, Obama, harming the American people.  He undercut the CIA and the military and does it smiling – makes you wonder if that smile is covering up some kind of sinister actions being taken that no one is aware of.

Obama’s intelligence man, Dennis Blair, came out with a statement pointing out that good info was obtained that protected the American people by the interrogation of the al-Qaeda terrorists.  Now it seems, to please his boss, he is doing some back-tracking.  Apparently he is gutless and won’t stand on his own principals and character.  He fits right in with the rest of the Obama administration.  Too bad Obama’s people didn’t have the character and honesty of Miss. California, who wouldn’t try to be politically correct to obtain the Miss. USA crown.  There is no character or honesty in the Obama administration.

Now let’s talk about the bailout with the corruption being planned and used.  GM that should have declared bankruptcy is being given bailout money, not for GM but for the unions, and it continues as payback for the unions support of Obama during the campaign.  The unions’ demands in salary, work rules, pension benefits, and health care have killed the American auto makers.  The unions in New York, according to the Mayor, are bankrupting the city and, of course, they were the reason the airlines had to reorganize and go through bankruptcy to survive.  The unions destroyed the steel industry, and the Democrats want to pass Card Check so every company in the United States can face the same fate.

John L. Lewis must be turning over in his grave to see how his union has rolled over for Obama, allowing him to destroy the coal industry and allowing the Senators and Congressional Representatives in their state to go along with Obama for the destruction of the coal industry.  Even Governor Rendell in Pennsylvania is stabbing the coal industry in the back.  But Pennsylvania Congressman Murtha called them rednecks and racists and they still voted for him, so I guess they won’t make their Senators and representatives vote for their wishes.  Constituents don’t count for anything.

Bush put in school vouchers so poor children could get a good education – also put in No Child Left Behind.  The teachers unions voted Obama in to take back their students so they could keep them in mediocrity and keep their power.  I don’t think Obama wanted his children being forced to associate with poor children so he had his education appointee kill the voucher program in DC.  Bush was the best friend those children ever had.  He was also the best friend Israel ever had, and they still prefer Obama – STRANGE.

  • Co2 is now dangerous to the climate per the freaks at the EPA.  Would seem to save ourselves we must destroy all trees and plants that take in that wonderful Carbon Dioxide and turn it into oxygen.  We live in dangerous times!
  • Congress so keen on holding hearings – should do it on worthwhile projects such as Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Jane Harman, Dianne Feinstein, Timothy Geithner, Barney Frank, and other administration officials who broke laws.

Mad As Hell – Michael Steele, Where’s the PR?

Head of RNC, Michael Steele - GET BUSY!

Head of RNC, Michael Steele - GET BUSY!

I’m mad as hell and I am going to speak out against this travisty of the Democrats, Clinton, Obama and his henchmen saying this economy is Bush’s fault – that’s a damn lie.  The fault lies with Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Maxine Waters, and other Democrats that would not allow any brakes to be applied to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  Millions of mortgages were forced on banks that were what is called sub-prime and were given to people who could not pay for them and this was known by the Democrats, who forced this program through.

Now the most ridiculous and obscene things I have ever seen is Barney Frank and Chris Dodd on the banking committees asking questions of bankers, grilling them, and trying to make them responsible even though both of these crooks are the slimy individuals that were the cause of this along with Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton.  I am not going to try to explain this again, but those of you who have read my previous articles understand this.

Now let’s talk of how the Republican party is failing to use their PR to point out how the Democratic party and the Chicago abomination policies defy credibility.  They accuse the Republican party of having a culture of corruption even though the Democratic party has and have had far more corruption.  However, their lies stood without any fight-back by the Republicans – HOW STUPID!  And there went the 2006 and 2008 elections and the Democrats became the majority in both Houses.

Obama and all his friends of ill repute – Geithner, his Secretary of the Treasury – supposedly the man with the best qualifications for the job, hadn’t paid his taxes and since taking office has shown a complete lack of ability to do the job; Daschle was to be his Secretary of Health and Human Services, owed $140,000 in taxes and withdrew; Bill Richardson was to be his Secretary of Commerce and is under investigation for criminal activities and he withdrew; there is Burris who has committed perjury as Clinton did, and yet Libby who was entrapped as is well known by Fitzpatrick was tried – Fitzpatrick, also the federal prosecutor in the Blagojevich and Burris affair – no action taken!

The Democratic governor of New Jersey was forced out because of a homosexual affair.  The Democratic governor of New York forced out because of using state funds to buy hookers.  The Democratic governor of Illinois forced out because of trying to sell a Senate seat and other nefarious actions.  The Democratic mayors of Detroit, Baltimore, and Newark found to be cooked.  Al Sharpton, a Democrat, preacher, and trouble maker owes $931, 397 in federal taxes and $365,528 in state taxes.  Joe Biden says it’s patriotic to pay your taxes – “Step up!”  Guess Sharpton, Geithner, Daschle, and Eric Holder didn’t hear what he said.

Oh, by the way, the Democratic Chief of Staff to Obama, Eric Holder, owes a goodly amount of taxes.  Chris Dodd and Kent Conrad took money from Country Wide.  Democrat Barney Frank used his house in DC for a homosexual bordello.  Democrat William Jefferson has a lot of cold cash from bribes.  We have Democrat John Murtha, one of the biggest crooks EVER and a low class person who got re-elected even though he called his constituents “Rednecks” and “STUPID”.  If this doesn’t list the largest bunch of Democrat reprobates and nefarious persons, I have failed in my listing.

One other thing, Obama said he wouldn’t allow lobbyists in his administration and yet he placed some in top positions.  Do you think he has kept any of his promises made during the election?  Like any politician, he talk from both sides of his mouth.  Steele of the RNC… where the hell are you?

I know now why Obama picked Ray LaHood, a Republican, as Transportation Secretary.  This idiot wants to charge tax for miles driven.  I guess this idiot lives in a city and doesn’t drive.  At least 50 percent of the American workers commute to work for several miles each day and the cost of gas was killing them.  Now that the price of gas has come down, they have a few bucks to spend.  Note the consumer rise in spending in January that the BRAINIACS couldn’t understand.  Consumer spending will increase unless the politicians take a hand in raising the price of gas and they kill the goose, which is not an unusual happening.

I would think they would cooperate if, for no other reason, than the hurt it is doing to Iran, Russia, and Venezuela.

One thing of note: cartoonists are having to be very careful these days.  Their free speech is under question.  Apparently the guy in the kitchen can’t stand the heat.  If you will notice, the late night comics are being very careful.  They must miss Bush and Clinton a lot!  The liberal media don’t have to worry because they ADORE Obama, or most of them do – some like Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann LOVE him!  They need to learn to control their feelings as their wives may leave them.

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac: Original PIRATES!

Let’s talk of pirates… those on the shores of Somalia and those on Wall Street and throughout the country seeking their share of the ransom.  Some of the pirates are known as AIG, and Citi Corp.  Also those waiting for their own ransom ship to arrive are General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Chrysler Corporation, but the BIGGEST and BADDEST of all is known as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.  They were the original pirates guided by the Democrats, and they are still out there circling and waiting for more ransom to be paid, and as the unions destroyed GM, Ford, and Chrysler, these ransoms being paid are very similar to the union demands and they will end up destroying America as the unions destroyed their employer.

When Bush and some Republicans tried to put some controls on Fannie and Freddie, the Democrats objected and wouldn’t allow them to be trashed, insisted they were in good shape, and praised the management put in place by the Democrats that started the pirates from within and the demands for ransom even though these demands really offer no hope for the American economy.  The billions already put in place have not solved any problems, and if the ransom demands by the Big Three are met to save the unions, the Democrats will gain more votes and the Big Three will continue to fail and drag down the auto industry.

I guess America’s statement when the country was young no longer applies, “millions for defense but not one penny for ransom”.  How could someone like Stephen Decatur, who destroyed the Barbary pirates, be able to reach and destroy our interior pirates?

Perhaps the Democrats who allowed Fannie and Freddie to fail had an ulterior motive and therefor were much smarter than we gave them credit for.  They may have planned to screw up the economy in order to get more Democrats elected in the House and Senate and a Democrat elected President.  Seems they have succeeded in this endeavor, convincing the voters that it was President Bush and the Republicans who were to blame.  They even had most of the voters thinking that it was Republicans that were in control of the House and Senate.  That says a lot for the Republican leadership and their PR machine.

The Democrats, apparently, studied the German propaganda master, Goebbels, and the Republicans studied the book “How to win friends and influence people.”  If the Republicans can’t figure out how to use PR to get their message across, their days in the sun will be over.  There is no doubt they lost their way in the last two elections and are coming close to extinction.  Until they learn how to control their elitists in their party and give some credit to the REGULAR people in fly-over country, and not of the Washington crowd, then the destruction will continue.  I would suggest that the elitist Republican Conservatives to follow their patrician noses out of the party and to any political party that might want them, if there are any.

One final thing – this bailout was a HUGE mistake.  It’s like using a large bucket to bail out small spaces in the bottom of a boat.  That does not work well.
