Integrity and the Conscience of a Liberal Crook

Too bad Geithner and Holder hadn't been "Borked"!

Too bad Geithner and Holder hadn't been "Borked"!

This Geithner and Holder mess and the way some of the Republicans have gone along with this is mind numbing.  Can’t help but remember Clarence Thomas, John Tower, Robert Bork, and others and how they were treated by the Congress.   did have high regard for two Senators now in Congress. Richard Lugar and Orrin Hatch.  I had thought they were in the league with Howard Baker, Alan Simpson, and Everett Dirksen.  However, by their actions, I now believe they are just stealth Democrats.

If Geithner doesn’t show a lack of integrity by not paying his taxes (guess he went to tax masters) and other actions he has taken and get Orrin Hatch, Olympia Snowe, John Ensign, Mike Crapo, and John Cornyn voting for his confirmation, I hope their constituents vote them out the next time they run for re-election.  In my opinion, if they were voted out and Democrats were voted in, there would be no appreciable change.  I see no alternative to the recovery of the Republican party, and to have a meaningful two party system, every effort should be made to out every Republican in Congress by use of the Primaries and replace them with new blood because of their complacency and failure to exercise their duties and their ties to Democrats.  They are certainly not being the loyal opposition as the two party system is supposed to work.

The first week in office, Obama has placed the American people in more danger by closing gitmo and eliminating all forms of stringent interrogations.  This leaves laying out there the placement of nearly 300 dangerous terrorists with wishes to have the opportunity to kill any and all Americans.  Imagine a prison in this country where they are placed having a prison riot and they escape.  It won’t be Obama in danger, but any and all Americans.  Obama feeding off the left’s frenzy to do away with so many areas of security and safety installed by President Bush is scary to any thinking person.  Let’s hope that his concept of terrorism returning to the thinking of the Clinton administration doesn’t encourage the terrorists to strike more often and with greater severity.  Will he return to the policy of not allowing the FBI and CIA to share information?

Obama’s arrogance has already come through by his appointment of Timothy Geithner and Eric Holder to major positions in his cabinet, with all their shady dealings in the past and with the collusion of Democrats and several other Democrats posing as Republicans.  His allowing the booing of President Bush at his inauguration and his reminding the Republicans at a meeting that he won leaves no doubt as to how he will approach his very partisan positions in the future.  I can see now how he will endeavor to take away freedoms from the American citizens by use of card check, fairness in broadcasting, and any and all areas available to him.  Don’t forget, during the election process, an extreme effort was taken by him to silence any opposition to him by the Missouri citizens.  That, at the time, was very scary to me.   It leaves me concerned about free speech in the future and our secret ballot.

What about the incidents of the Governor of Washington stealing the election by forcing four recounts and skulduggery, and now we have another tax-cheating Democrat stealing another election in Minnesota and the courts letting him get away with it?  This is not the country I have known, and as the Congress and media continue with their failure to do their jobs, I am more fearful of what is to come.

And now we have to worry about cabinet members of less than sterling integrity and what actions they will take in performance of their duties and what rights they will take away from average citizens.  I have known several friends who failed to have enough taxes taken from their checks, and due to circumstances at the time, they were unable to pay the balance as required.  They were hounded by IRS collectors.  Monies from their bank accounts and pay checks were garnished.  They were also given fines with excessive interest.  The appointment of a tax-cheat with his hiring of illegal aliens (but that doesn’t matter in his selection) as the Secretary of Treasury where he will also run the IRS is the height of hypocrisy.  Also, Eric Holder, nominated as Attorney General with his record of pushing for terrorists to be pardoned as well as the criminal Mark Rich (number 1 on most wanted posters) leaves little doubt that he has no conscience or integrity and should not be in that position.  This does not, in any way, encourage the old, unused passage “Power to the people!”

I hate to say it, but an all voluntary service member in all branches of service are in a position to have their legs kicked out from beneath them.  Their will be Generals placed in command of them.  However, those Generals will be monitored to insure that they follow a non-service President concerned with world opinion more than the servicemen that he is Commander in Chief of.  He and most of the liberals surrounding him have never worn the uniform, felt the extreme cold, extreme heat, and faced death or debilitating wounds.  From what I have seen of our all volunteer servicemen, they are one of the greatest generations that have come from this country and our hope to continue America as we know it.  There is a good chance that they may have the pendulum swing the other way and reverse the moral breakdown of this country.  What I mean is to see that only legal votes are counted, shortcuts in government to salve someones greed stopped, our families are composed of people with romanticism and gentleness and not erotic, sexual attitudes, and children are treated with love and respect, not objects for pedophiles, and they are eager to learn, but not subjected to left-leaning liberal kooks who try to propagandize them to hate their country with, what they call, education.

Swings to the left, swings to the right, it swings in the day, it swings in the night!

Swings to the left, swings to the right, it swings in the day, it swings in the night!

They say hope springs eternal and even now, with all the strikes against us, I still have faith and hope that last ball will be struck out of the park.  We have come too far and accomplished too many things and expanded freedom throughout the world for the dream to fail.

Two points I would like to make to end this article:

The money saved by consumers on the price of gas has given them an opportunity to spend on consumer goods, food and medicine, and has been a blessing.  However, the price of gas where I live has gone down to $1.45 and oil continued down – which it still is, but the price of gas has risen by .24 cents to $1.69.  My question is, what GREEDY BASTARD is taking those few pennies from people who can use them?

I must say that the way speculators can tie up so much product in their greed with only a small amount of their own money and then bilk the public is disgusting and I must also say it is unpatriotic and is something that needs looking into as a CRIMINAL matter.

Hear Ye – Let the Old Guard Go and Let the Future Happen

McCain says COVER IT UP - nobody will know!

I will start with an old adage: It depends on whose Ox is gored.  Let’s carry this forward and visualize the country as everyone’s Ox.  Then it depends on what politician will gore the Ox worse, or maybe someone who will protect the Ox.  In my opinion Mrs. Clinton and John McCain would gore the Ox in a more harmful manner, and frankly I don’t want my Ox to be harmed in any way.

Turned to MSNBC on Saturday morning.  Caught the Morning Joe program.  There was one of their supposed journalists named David Schuster – I thought he was going to have a stroke defending Mrs. Clinton and defending Bill’s right to attack candidates running against Mrs. Clinton because he LOVES her.  If he loved her, he wouldn’t be running around with his fly open and a gleam in eyes.  What he really wants is to be President again through Mrs. Clinton.  The morals of this country degenerated badly during his first eight years.  Do you want it to be completely demolished by another four years of the Clintons?

Another endorsement for John McCain from a liberal rag in Philadelphia’s.  These Democrats sure love John McCain.  No wonder – he is one of them, working as a mole in the Republican party.  Maybe leopards can’t change their spots, but McCain is sure trying.  He talks of Romney being a flip-flopper, however, he is the master of flip-flopping.  He reminds me of a cat, during his campaign, busily burying his mistakes.  He may bury them, but they are still very smelly to me.

The Democrats are standing by clapping their hands and shouting encouragement.  McCain can’t cover up his depriving people of free speech with the McCain/Feingold Act.  He can’t cover up his votes against the Bush tax cuts by saying they should be extended.  He is undoubtedly a flip-flopper.  He can’t cover up his helping the Democrats to make Bush’s judicial nominees subject to filibuster.  He can’t cover up his participation in the Keating Five efforts to clear Keating, who used his savings and loans to steal billions, depriving many retirees and citizens of their life’s savings.  McCain received thousands of dollars from Keating towards his campaign and was a house guest of Keating in the Bahamas, and he talks of campaign finance reform – ain’t that a hoot?

See attached:

Remember the Keating Five?
McCain’s own standards would have hung him.

For too long, McCain has been given a free pass by the media, which promotes campaign-finance reform to silence other voices, and by his Republican colleagues, who are concerned about alienating McCain given the GOP’s tenuous majority in the Senate.

In John McCain’s America, any politician who accepts a large contribution or gift from a donor, and then takes steps consistent with the donor’s interests — even though there is no legal quid pro quo — is corrupt. Well, then, by his own standard, McCain is corrupt.

McCain was one of the so-called “Keating Five” senators. He was investigated by the Senate Select Committee on Ethics in 1991 regarding the acceptance of favors from Lincoln Savings & Loan Association (Lincoln) and its owner, Charles H. Keating, Jr. Simply put, the issue was whether McCain and the other senators used their official positions to attempt to pressure Federal Home Loan Bank Board officials to go easy on the troubled institution. Eventually Lincoln went bust, costing depositors and taxpayers millions.

In its final report (November 20, 1991), here is what the Senate Select Committee on Ethics concluded about McCain’s conduct:

“Mr. Keating, his associates, and his friends contributed $56,000 for Senator McCain’s two House races in 1982 and 1984, and $54,000 for his 1986 Senate race. Mr. Keating also provided his corporate plane and/or arranged for payment for the use of commercial or private aircraft on several occasions for travel by Senator McCain and his family, for which Senator McCain ultimately provided reimbursement when called upon to do so. Mr. Keating also allowed Senator McCain and his family to vacation with Mr. Keating and his family, at a home provided by Mr. Keating in the Bahamas, in each of the calendar years 1983 through 1986.

“…[F]rom 1984 to 1987, Senator McCain took actions on Mr. Keating’s behalf or at his request. The Committee finds that Senator McCain had a basis for each of these actions independent of the contributions and benefits he received from Mr. Keating, his associates and friends.

“Based on the evidence available to it, the Committee has given consideration to Senator McCain’s actions on behalf of Lincoln. The Committee concludes that, given the personal benefits and campaign contributions he had received from Mr. Keating, Senator McCain exercised poor judgment in intervening with the regulators without first inquiring as to the Bank Board’s position in the case in a more routine manner. The Committee concludes that Senator McCain’s actions were not improper nor attended with gross negligence and did not reach the level of requiring institutional action against him. The Committee finds that Senator McCain took no further action after the April 9, 1987 meeting when he learned of a criminal referral.

“The Committee reaffirms its prior decision that it does not have jurisdiction to determine the issues of disclosure or reimbursement pertaining to flights provided by American Continental Corporation while Senator McCain was a Member of the House of Representatives. The Committee did consider the effect of such on his state of mind and judgment in taking steps to assist Lincoln.

“Senator McCain has violated no law of the United States or specific Rule of the United States Senate; therefore, the Committee concludes that no further action is warranted with respect to Senator McCain on the matters investigated during the preliminary inquiry.”

McCain was the only Republican implicated in the Keating Five scandal, yet today he lectures his party and his president about “the corrupting influence” of money in politics. He rails against the so-called “wealthy special interests” and their ability to buy access to elected officials, yet this is precisely what the Keating Five scandal was all about. And, of course, under McCain’s current standard, a politician who takes a principled position that may benefit a donor is corrupt, even if no law has been violated.

The John McCain of old should be thankful that his political fate wasn’t determined by John McCain the reformer.

He has managed to blunt his effort to give illegal immigrants amnesty by saying “We HEARD the American people and the border comes first.”  That isn’t saying what he and Teddy would cook up if he became President.  Also, how might he work with the Democrats as he did with campaign finance reform and other things?  I know he was a POW, and somehow this makes him a hero – how, I can’t understand.

I was in during Korea and I saw quite a few REAL heroes.  I was on an aircraft carrier and our Chief of Commissary was a member of the Bataan Death March, consequently he saw to it that we were the best fed ship in the US Navy.  There were thousands who were on this Bataan Death March.  Also, there were hundreds of thousands of POWs in World War II held by the Japanese and Germans, and I would say they are all heroes in the same class as McCain.

I have noticed a lot of flailing around by old timers in the Senate and Congress.  They can feel their power, in which they glory, being taken away by electing of outsiders, so they are all flooding to McCain.  I am sorry to say, but Obama has come up with the best message.  That message is change.  Time for the old guard to just fade away and let the future happen.

Can you visualize what could happen if all the old timers in the Senate and Congress were to leave and return to the past in which they are mired and let new blood come in to make change and take us to the future?  As far as I am concerned, this Congress and Senate we now have are led by a herd of old incumbents who want to continue the same old game they have been playing for years and years.

“What we have here is a failure to communicate” with the American people.  We haven’t had a member of the Senate as a President of the USA since JFK, and McCain is no JFK.  JFK looked to the future.  McCain is mired in the past.  He has used the young men and women on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan as foils in his campaign, which is DISGUSTING.  He is now disseminating lies and chicanery in his campaign.  I guess you can see by my writings that I am not a fan of John McCain.  If he wins the nomination and runs against Hillary, I WILL stay home.  If he runs against Obama, I will vote for Obama.

Now I will cover the media and poll manipulators.  As you can see, they are all pushing McCain.  I guess they go by the old axiom they prefer the devil they know.  Also, he gives them more fodder as a destructive tool against the Republican party.  He has delighted in his mantra being a maverick.  The media LOVES this!  Now he is calling on the Republican voters to vote him in as President.  Why SHOULD they?

The media has gotten many, many stories in the past from his antics.  We don’t need antics in this country.  We need someone working with Congress and Senate for a purpose geared to the future, not to the past.  This would be very debilitating to the media, and wouldn’t gain them the stories they love to cover.  The media should be a voice of the people, not a voice of support for the old, tired politicians.  As you can see, many, many liberal newspapers, or rags (if that’s what you wish to call them) are endorsing McCain.  Makes you wonder what engenders this adoration.

He will succeed!

John McCain said, on Meet the Press, that he would be the best to unite the Republican party.  What a joke!  McCain, if he wins the nomination, will split the Republican party and insure a Democratic win and destroy the Republican party.  Do you think that the liberal tv media and liberal newspapers, with their love affair with McCain, are not doing this with a purpose?  You gotta be kidding!  Let’s hope those media outlets will not get their way.

From what I have observed of the Senate, and consequently Senators in the last several years, is that they are obsessed with their power and use it for destructive purposes, not constructive purposes – keeping judges from being confirmed and making a show out of everything they do.  Remember the Judge Bork and Clarence Thomas hearings?  The worst thing that ever happened to the legislative bodies was when they started covering them with tv cameras.  It gives them a chance to preen, pontificate, and pose for the cameras.  Also their ability to insert and change whatever they say into the Congressional record should be taken away.

I see a lot of free media coverage given to McCain and Huckabee, but not for Romney.  I wonder why.  The poll manipulators and how they frame the questions and the results they give are in the main as politically destructive as the old, old Senate and Senators we have at the moment.  As far as I am concerned, this Senate works with a closed mind and looks to the past, not to the future.  Nuff said.

May God continue to bless the USA.

California shuns Marines and it’s their SHAME!

Money can't change UGLY!

Have been waiting for someone to play a faux pas by MSNBC.  When interviewing college students in Hanover, New Hampshire, I had, during a commercial on one station, switched to MSNBC to get the Democratic line of the day.  Remote controls are FANTASTIC!  There was a reporter from MSNBC interviewing college students.  As a last question, the female anchor, I believe Contessa, asked him to ask how these students got their news – internet or other means.

One young man said he got his from Fox streaming news.  The interview ended.  The reporter said “Did you get that?” and the anchor said “loud and clear.”  I have been waiting for that to appear on youtube, but I have an idea that somehow they destroyed that segment, and it therefore will not be seen.  I had thought each channel monitored the other.  Maybe no one figured anyone would be watching that channel anyhow.  I know this isn’t usually the case, because Rush is monitored CONSTANTLY and anything he says that can look bad taken out of context, will be used by liberal groups and liberal media.

I have been fascinated by how moveon.org can get away with any kind of personal destruction of anyone they disagree with.  One of the most obscene is the horrible pictures they have posted with photographic touch-ups of Bill O’Reilly, which is FAR worse than their ad in the New York Times.  There should be laws that would stop this kind of scurrilous actions.  If I were a Democrat, I would be ashamed that I was considered part of moveon.org and controlled by them.  To be a robot of George Soros is not something to be proud of.  There are other organizations he funds that are part of the Democratic party’s propaganda arms that are a danger to democracy.

Did the McCain-Feingold bill give him this opportunity to buy elections?  As far as I am concerned, George Soros is a parasite feeding off any country he can undermine their currency and integrity.  I think his money and how he uses it will serve to have him dwell in hell for ever and ever.

Will close this by condemning Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Diane Feinstein, and Barbara Boxer.  Not one of these elitists have voiced any objections to how 204 marines coming home from Iraq couldn’t enter the terminal, but had to unload 400 yards from there.  They were able to go into the terminal in Germany and New York, but not in Oakland, California.  Where is the outrage by the two California Senators, Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer – also the two Democratic leaders, Harry Reid and Nanacy Pelosi?  I guess they are too busy trying to bash Rush and getting on with their investigations.  To believe anything they say about Iraq and the troops is to require the willing suspension of disbelief.  Some questions follow:

No opium - no Mary Jane

  • Did the McCain-Feingold Bill give George Soros more ways to use his millions to influence elections?
  • Do the Presidential candidates that also ran get to keep their unused campaign funds?
  • Has any further scientific studies about seeding and other ways to destroy tropical storms before they reach Hurricane status been done?
  • Did anyone else see the segment on MSNBC where the person said he got his news from Fox streaming?  If so, could you provide me a link to the video?
  • Was it racism by the Democratic Senators when and how they interviewed Clarence Thomas when he was presented by the President to be on the Supreme Court?  You be the judge – look it up.
  • I heard discussions as to how they couldn’t burn off the poppy fields in Afghanistan.  This is stupid.  Why couldn’t they spray weed killer with aircraft?  Couldn’t they send fighter planes to accompany them while it was being done?  The same could be done to their marijuana crops.  This would take money from the al-Qaeda and Taliban.
  • Does anyone other than me take umbridge at how the Clintons used the Lincoln bedroom?  Saw a video of Danny Devito telling how he and his wife treated it on invitation from the Clintons.  Where is the outrage?
  • If Hillary wins, will Bill be ensconced in the Lincoln bedroom and have courtesans sent to him as required to keep him from embarrassing Hillary any further?  She will always stand by her man
  • Have the Clintons been able to scotch the book being written by Kathleen Willey and scheduled for release in November?  Seems they can scotch any article they don’t like.

May God continue to bless the USA.
