Aside From Iowa Caucus Fiasco, The Politics of Energy and Food

While this fiasco election, called Iowa State Caucus, is unfolding, this date I will write about a few other things.
The Democratic Congress is starting off the new year in their usual way - no legislation, but lots of investigations. They did this all through 2007 and now are continuing into 2008. They are [...]

Snake Oil Media and the Flim Flam Politicians

In watching daily news on television, I find words left out, things taken out of context, slants taken, and all kinds of things done to change the news in another direction. This is done many times to glorify, sometimes to vilify, sometimes for personal ambition, and sometimes to embellish. This reminds me of [...]

CIA Documents, NIE Reports - Do-Nothing Congress Farce

Just heard the 9/11 commission, with no convictions, are concerned about destroyed CIA tapes. They didn’t seem concerned with how many or what classified documents Pockets Berger stole. Double standards are a great part of our culture in all aspects. As far as I am concerned, the 9/11 commission was a joke [...]

Philadelphia - city of brotherly love?? HA HA

Here it is, Thanksgiving, and I know that Harry and Nancy are so sad that the servicemen and servicewomen couldn’t be home with their families. They tried to ensure this by having them leave the Iraqis to their own devices - would allow that country to be demolished by civil strife and terrorism. [...]

Harry and Nancy - Champions of the military!

Thought I would get some answers Thursday night, but what a disappointment. It was just a boring monologue for each of the candidates when it came their time. As usual, Richardson was able to speak the longest to say nothing. It couldn’t get out of control for Hillary because of all [...]

Democrats still trying to snatch defeat out of victory.

I am eagerly awaiting the debate on Thursday for the Democratic Presidential candidates. I guess by now Hillary has a list of the questions and who is to be asked what. What else can Wolf do? He has been warned “Don’t pull a Russert, or else!” Look for her to knock [...]

Fox invites liberals into their clubhouse!

Just got through watching Chris Wallace’s program on Fox with Karl Rove. I had stopped watching his program quite some time ago because of his ultra liberal leanings. I wanted to see what he would do against the Democrats’ favorite scape goat in the Bush administration. You would think Patrick Leahy was [...]

Congrats to the Democrats - for all the work they’ve done?

For axis of evil, I would like to nominate Mike Nifong, Patrick Fitzgerald, and Johnny Sutton. To me they are the embodiment of government gone mad. Instances of government failures is the power given to environmentalists and ensuring that we can’t attain energy independence by drilling in ANWR, the continental shelf, and building [...]

If only all U.S. attorneys had been fired much earlier!

Feel it’s my duty and privilege to put in my two cents worth on the Attorney General’s action on the firing of 8 U.S. attorneys. They serve at the discretion of the President who can let them go at any time for any reason. I wish that Bush had done what Clinton and Janet Reno [...]

Alas poor history, I knew ye well.

History, American History, was something I used to love to learn about, taught by a history professor who also loved American History. He is gone now and will never know, as I do now, that in this age of communication and it’s influence the media wields, the twists they use on current happenings influence not only the future, and history as it will be written, but also history as it has been written for the past fifty years or more. Samples of what I am talking about follow:
