Forgot To Ask

We are certainly not the same Americans as we were when King George told us to get use to the tea tax and stamp act.  Then, the Americans said “Like HELL we will!” and we bought our freedom with blood and tears.  Now King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia says to us, about the oil and gas prices “Get use to it!”  If we were as we were then, we as a people in a country would say to him “Like HELL we will!”  Then we would build a couple more refineries, drill for oil in ANWR and off the continental shelf and find ways to remove the oil easily from the shale out west.  We would immediately start allowing nuclear energy plants to be built.  The only thing that keeps us from taking this action are those who were in the minority when we won our freedom – and they took no part in that effort.  Those now would be the Democrats and environmentalists, who are against drilling, nuclear energy, new refineries and insuring our energy needs are met for now and centuries to come.  In the meantime, there is nothing wrong with continuing the research on solar, hydrogen, and wind power.

As you know, the most likely place for use of wind power is off of Cape Cod and was killed by Teddy Kennedy and the high society and wealthy Democrat environmentalists of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard – as is always the case… not in MY backyard.  And of course, they don’t live in the neighborhood that we common people do.  Then, of course, the size of their pocketbooks makes them less concerned with the costs of energy.  Short years ago, John Kerry and a few other Democrats in Congress wanted to add .50 cents a gallon tax on gasoline to discourage us hillbillies from driving so much.  Kerry was the one with the 7 SUVs being used in his search for the Presidency.  When asked about this he said the SUVs were owned by his family, not by him.  The Democrats are so concerned about the use of energy (accept for themselves) – *NOTE* Al Gore’s use of energy on his Tennessee estate.

Elitists Democrats are saying “Don’t do as I do – do as I say!”  My wish is that the Democrats and environmentalists would join with the Republicans and start drilling our energy independence and thumb our noses at OPEC.

Now let’s talk about some colluding Democrats.  I have reference to Barrack Hussein Obama and one of his mentors, Wesley Clark … putting down McCain’s service, but they don’t mention his years in the Congress.  Wesley Clark ran for President with nothing but military service and nothing else in his background.  John McCain is 40 times more qualified to be President than Wesley Clark and 100 times more qualified than Barrack Hussein Obama.  Guess Barrack Hussein Obama thinks that his guidance and mentoring by Father Flager, Professor Ayers (the terrorist), and his closeness with Reverend Wright helps with his values and also his closeness with Reszko has helped, not only his values, but his financial acumen as well.  Looks to me that Obama could have put down John McCain’s service without having Wesley Clark to help him.

Just saw a commercial where the Democrats have a fake Bush voice pushing oil companies and the price of gas.  Consequently this is blamed on the Republicans.  Why can’t the Republicans FIGHT back and show that Democrats and Nancy Pelosi are the main reason for high gas prices?  The Republicans seem to have NO ability to point out problems caused by the Democrats.  For instance, Obama talks about a $1000 tax refund for every family under $250,000 – states that are predominantly democratic will have to pay more than that this winter because of the environmentalists and democratic policy.  Of course, ex-President Carter pointed out what they could do (wear sweaters) and telling them to “Get use to it!”  At least they can feel warm about the fact that because of their sacrifices, the elitists on Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket will not have to see windmills on their coastline that get in the way of their yachts.

Should the Republicans make hay out of Chris Dodd’s and Kent Conrad’s crooked acts?  If they were Republicans, you can bet the farm that Democrats would.  Now we hear about Democratic Senators and Congress making big bucks out of oil stocks.  Even heard one Democratic operative say how the Democrats in Congress should be admired for voting against their pocketbooks.  The Democratic party has convinced their supporters that they are acting in their constituents interests.  They have convinced the American people that the party of the rich is Republicans, and yet, the Democrats have more rich people than the Republicans – Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, George Soros, and others.  Warren Buffet says we need to be taxed more by our government.  Hey Warren, ole buddy, don’t hesitate to send a few billion to your government on your own.  Could the elitists on Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard send a few of their dollars to thank the government for not enforcing the windmill construction to spoil their view?  Also, if the Democratic Congress was so interested in helping their constituents, they would allow drilling in ANWR, off the continental shelf, and have oil shale go through a retrieval process to obtain that oil also.

It is puzzling to me how the Democratic Congress has controlled the thinking of their constituents with double speak and hypocrisy.  A few instances: 68 million acres, 10 years, 1 or 2 cents a gallon.  Some of this is pushed by George Soros, underwriting moveon.org and other means of propaganda.  Can’t help but feel sorry for the Democrats’ constituents being fooled, not only part of the time, but ALL the time.

It isn’t only Democrats, but ALL Americans are facing blatant hypocrisy and propaganda in the global warming fiasco, perpetrated on us by both parties.  I will remind you again of what was happening in the late 1900s that didn’t affect global warming.  Families heated their homes with coal and cooked their meals with coal.  Boats and ships were powered by COAL.  Trains were powered by… COAL.  Factories ran on … COAL.  There have been cycles of warming and cooling for centuries, mostly due to the sun and its cycles, which influence the earth’s temperatures.  It is not caused by people.

Changing minds caused by changing circumstances, being called “flip-flopping” goes completely against the history of this country.  After Carter, with 14% unemployment and 21% interest rates, you would think that no citizen, even a democrat, would want to vote for someone like Obama, who endorses the same policies as Carter did, with his windfall profits tax, and the elemental stages of wearing sweaters, adjusting to NO gas, rationing, long gas lines, American citizens held hostage, and Americans ashamed of their country abandoning hope and faith for the future.  Thank God the voters voted him out and Reagan in (with his optimism), saying what we SHOULD be – a shining city upon a hill and a beacon to the rest of the world and leading the country in THAT direction.  He strengthened our military calling for the Star Wars defense system, and he defeated the Communist party of the USSR, now split up – some of them even in NATO.

Now, as far as changing minds to meet new circumstances, MacArthur, a military man of high repute in World War II, did a masterful job in the re-construction of Japan after the war.  However, in Korea, as military commander, he over-stepped his authority and was fired by President Truman and Truman was lambasted by the American people for his action.  Truman also changed his mind on dropping the A-bomb after a study was made of how many millions of casualties there would be on both sides if we had tried a land invasion.  There are still some liberals who condemn him for his actions.  Those World War II veterans who lived because of his actions, no doubt, are thankful for his decision.

There is no doubt that Eisenhower, Roosevelt, Churchill, Truman, Admiral Nimitz, Admiral Halsey, and General Patton all changed their minds as circumstances changed during the war, or we would have LOST the war.  The greatest program of the Eisenhower administration, and one of the major causes of our growth after World War II was the interstate/highway system, which was a circumstance of him seeing how a modern road system of major highways had helped in Germany’s growth and in their military prowess.

I have heard both the Democrats and Republicans making statements that are foolish – as with the speculation of the oil futures.  The commodities market is one of the greatest rip-offs of the American consumer.  Remember Hillary as making $100,000 with $1,000 in cattle futures?  And as she said “with nobody’s help”.  The Congress could take action to stop the fluctuating prices caused by speculators with ONE act.  Now it is not only pension funds, but also George Soros, Warren Buffet, Jim Rogers, and others of ill-repute making BIG bucks on the backs of the American consumer.  You can tie up 100 million barrels of crude oil with only 5% down… in other words, buy 5 million barrels and you can tie up another 95 million barrels.  The same applies to corn, soy beans, sugar, dairy products, beef, pork, etc.  Doesn’t this make us all feel GOOD that some FAT cats can become RICH on the backs of consumers?  There is ONE simple fix – make SPECULATORS put up AT LEAST 60% of the price of those commodities they are purchasing, whether orange juice, milk, beef, oil or WHATEVER!

I heard Mrs. Clinton say her and Obama both have passionate spouses.  I don’t know about Obama’s spouse, but we all know about her spouse’s passion.  He doesn’t seem to be able to control his passion to the detriment of many unwilling women in the past.  Obama has finally come to the realization that he is facing both Clintons.  What he needs is to have an Iolaus at his side.  It’s hard to defeat a hydra.

Bill Clinton has spouted off and twisted Obama’s statements and his record in order to cover up the inadequacy of Mrs. Clinton.  He is hoping that his supporters will know that he will really be the President and Mrs. Clinton will only be the figure head.  The liberals are a party with herding instincts, and Cowboy Bill is pushing them to run over Obama.  Unfortunately in doing so, he may cause a stampede of voters towards running over a cliff, and there may not be enough of the herd left to take to the market.  Let’s hope it’s like an old Jimmy Rogers song and it’s Cowboy Bills Last Ride.  So far, his exploding just before the election in the two states Mrs. Clinton won has given her a victory, but may have caused irreparable damage to the Democratic party.

In the last few days I have seen people who used to be Conservative come out for John McCain, even though he isn’t – people like Jack Kemp, Bob Novak, and many others – a bunch of old timers in the political spectrum who just can’t stand being without a voice, so they are promoting an old timer in the Senate – someone who has been around a long time, like they have, not realizing that their time has passed.  They can’t stand that this has happened, and like the movie, it is now No Country for Old Men.

Let’s recap McCain’s record again: fighting Bush at every turn; voting against drilling in ANWR, which if we had done it at that time, would be available now, and the energy crisis would not be so severe; voted twice against Bush’s tax cuts; worked with Teddy Kennedy on the immigration program that was to give amnesty to 12 to 20 million Latinos and increase a voting block for the Democrats; worked with Feingold to deprive free speech from citizens in the McCain/Feingold Act; worked with a gang of 14 to deprive Bush of the appointment of judges of a Conservative bent; spouting global climate warming in New Hampshire to cater to and please the independent voters – in other words, abandoning his principals (if he has any); don’t forget the Keating 5.  To me, McCain has always been a Democrat in Republican clothing.

Hamas, a terrorist group running Gaza, has been getting massive amounts of money and food from the U.N. who we support with massive amounts of money, and we also send money to feed the Gaza citizens, who voted Hamas in.  The only thing they have gotten out of Hamas is more rockets sent in to southern Israel to kill Israelis.  Who can blame the Israelis for taking measures to punish them, and yet the world media is trying to take away their right of self-preservation and making them out to be mean and cold-hearted to the Gaza people for not allowing Hamas to send rockets into their land and still feed their people and provide them gas, oil, medical supplies, and power.

Let’s look at global climate warming as McCain says there is.  We are having the most frigid temperatures in this country, coast to coast, than we have had in ages.  The Middle East is having the coldest winter in ages.  Even Ahmenidajad has been punished by the Ayatollah for not furnishing gas to the poor peoples in the outer fringes of Iran.  Argentina and other areas in South America have also been very cold.  I guess these happenings are caused by global warming.  The greenies are now pushing polar bear extinction again, which has been proved to be untrue.

Something I have noticed recently is how the media is talking about either McCain or Rudy winning the nomination.  When they do mention Romney, they talk about his having his own money, and poor McCain and Rudy don’t have.  I have also noticed sneers when they talk about it – even on Fox News.  Seems to me he earned his money and has a right to spend it.

• Just heard that a bunch of liberal Hollywood activists have given big bucks to John McCain – wonder why?
• Turned to MSNBC for a few minutes to see if they are still the same.  Caught a bit of Chris Matthews helping Tom Ridge to espouse the merits of John McCain, sneering at Rudy Giuliani.
• This has been the worst season ever in the use of polls for ulterior reasons and political malfeasance.
• I want you to imagine if drilling in ANWR had been done at the time that McCain voted against it, and consider if our economic problems we are currently facing are caused, to a great degree, by the high prices of oil we have had to pay to OPEC and which also influenced our balance of payments and deficit.

Guess it’s time to cover the second biggest subject on people’s minds.  The border agents should be armed with long-range stun guns, and if they aren’t able to reach the illegals throwing the rocks at them, they should be issued rubber bullets that would reach the rock-throwing rabble.  I don’t think this country should allow rocks being thrown at their agents.  If it takes real bullets to be used to stop this, I say go ahead.  Cities and towns who declare themselves sanctuaries should have all federal funds taken away, such as those for education, transportation, and other programs if they don’t change their direction.

They use cutting off funds to fight the terrorist movements, why not to force Americans to obey the law?  A house divided against itself cannot survive.  You don’t build homes on shifting ground.  The foundation of this country has always been citizenship built on respect for the law.  We cannot have laws that apply to some and not to others.

When Wal-Mart started their mantra, it was all products made in America.  Now at least 90% of their products come from China.  What happened?  The imbalance in our export and imports is caused by China.  Seems to me we could encourage the Chinese government to stop selling weapons to Iran and join us in sanctions to ensure Iraq’s cooperation if we pointed this out to them rather forcibly.  By forcibly, I mean import taxes on their products so high it would make them wince.  It is well known that to get someone’s attention, the best way is through their pocketbook.

Another subject of interest these days is our spy satellites and the use of same.  Immediately after talk of using it for the police and the border patrol, the Democrats started yelling about civil liberties.  Their concern for the security of the American people is second to their concern for the privacy of illegal aliens and people who have things to hide.  There is a belief by the American people that our spy satellites are incredibly good.  This belief is fostered in a great part by movies, tv series, and books of fiction.  If they were as good as people think they are, they would have been a much greater asset in the Iraq war and insurgency than they were.  If they can be used to help border control and cut down on felonies being committed, why not?

You would think that this could be a good weapon against acts of terrorism in this country.  The Democrats are always against tools that can be used to make the American people more secure, such as the Patriot Act and the use of phone surveillance.  They and their right arm, the A.C.L.U., is a danger to the security of the American people.

Stock market fluctuations have got the Democrats all excited.  They think they can convince their electorate that this only hurts fat cats.  However, it affects everyone who has a 401k, IRA, pension funds, and there are a surprising number of middle class Americans who own stock.  You can believe also these Democratic Presidential candidates have big bucks in the stock market.  Remember Hillary made $100,000 in cattle futures with only $1000, or so they want you to believe.  These Democrats would have you believe they are just po’ folks.  Don’t you believe it!
