Political fallout from the economic crisis is to be expected, and of course it happened.  Much was made of John McCain saying the fundamentals of the economy were sound, and yet so did the Secretary of the Treasury, Henry Paulson.  After McCain backed off after being stomped by Obama, Obama’s people, and Obama’s media, he was really at loose ends and lost it for a couple of days.  Obama didn’t make any statements but did the same as voting “present”.  He stood back and then criticized McCain for putting out something - at least.

A President can’t wait to see what the pollsters want.  The current President has not governed by polls as the one before him did.  His legacy, like Truman’s, will be embellished further after many years have passed.  It is refreshing to know there is a President who is so sure of his principals and integrity that he makes decisions based on THAT alone.  This President has been targeted by the liberal media, Hollywood elitists, TV comedians, rabid Democrats, and members of his own party when they disagreed with him, such as Chuck Hagel.

One thing I have noticed is no late show or wacko comedians have made fun of Obama - I wonder why?

Now let’s discuss this $700 billion bailout, the same amount as we send foreign countries each year for oil.  There is no question that this was caused by Fanny and Freddy, with their bad paper covering mortgages for people who should not have been given them.  The reason they were given was done due to the Democrats and their give-away programs to placate their base.  John McCain tried to stop this ball rolling down hill in 2005, but was stopped by the Democrats.  The false statements being put out by Obama - about this being the fault of the Bush administration - would be laughable if it weren’t so obscene.

The manner in which the media have treated Obama with loving care and kid gloves has been very discouraging to Hillary, Dodd, Richardson, and the rest of the Democrats running for the Presidential nomination, but not Biden… because he had no support hardly at all and Obama threw him a bone.  Biden gladly took it even though he had said he would definitely not take it.  What else would you surmise from him?

The media has started treating Sarah Palin the same way they treated Bush when he ran.  They were all for McCain in 2000 when he ran against Bush, but it sure isn’t that way now.  It all depends on who’s ox the media wants to gore.  The media has lost all credibility.  They are now considered lower than used car dealers in the opinion of most people.  Of course that doesn’t include rabid Democrats.  Even MSNBC news directors have understood how low Olbermann and Matthews have sunk to and they have taken some action, of course not enough.  Their parent company, NBC, is also at risk of losing their credibility, completely, allowing a comic running for the Senate against Norm Coleman - I won’t even mention his name - to pen a satire on John McCain for use on a Saturday Night Live skit.  Is this what publicly owned air waves are to be used for?

Don’t you feel sorry for all those elitists in Congress losing money on Lehman Brothers, AIG, and so forth, as Nancy Pelosi, John Kerry, and other did?  I wonder if the Democratic base knows that the Democrats in the Senate and House have FAR more money than the Republicans do… ex: Pelosi, Reid, Jay Rockefeller, both Senators from California: Diane Feinstein and Barbara Boxer.  The Democrats also have the biggest crooks, such as Charlie Rangel, Dodd, Conrad, and others who never get covered such as Jack Murtha, Barney Frank, and others of their ilk.

When history is written of the Senate and House during this time, there will be a realization that they were the cause of many problems for the United States and its citizens.  Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will be considered almost treasonable by keeping us from energy that we have readily available, causing high prices for gas and a hit on our economy.  The Democrats were also planning requirements on how Fanny and Freddy were to make loans and gave them to millions of people without the means to keep their payments up, and so came the meltdown of the economic supports such as greedy Wall street, greedy hedge funds, greedy speculators, greedy politicians, and on and on.

Look for the handy work of Jim Rogers and George Soros profiting off America’s misery.  There is one thing I wish to mention before closing and that is a bill pending in Congress which will not be allowed to the floor by Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi honoring the young Americans who have fought in Iraq.  How does that grab you?  It makes me SICK!  I am sure they don’t feel goose bumps every time taps is played, but I sure do and so do most of us in fly-over country.
