Now that Obama has picked his veepee, after a political ploy to get people’s email addresses to use to try to milk them for more money, I will make a few observations…

Obama is the master politician of this age. He managed to get the liberal media to pick him as their candidate from the start, along with the Democratic National Committee and its leader Howard Dean. I can empathize with Hillary with the way she was treated. Even her Chief of Staff was beguiled away by the Obama campaign. You can see from both of these liberal elites, Obama and Joe (and glean from their messages) that their campaigns are going to be class warfare based on envy, greed, and empty promises to fool their usual constituents. In choosing his veepee, Obama took the opportunity to take one last swipe at Hillary by sending out the choosing email at 3 a.m. and the liberal media was all for it. Now she knows how Republicans feel.

The man he chose to be his attack dog has risen to the occasion. He has been an attack dog since he and others of his ilk refused to appoint Robert Bork, a strict constitutionalist, and attacked him unmercifully. That is when the dictionary came up with the word “Borked”. Not only that, but when Justice Samuel Alito was being questioned for his appointment, Joe attacked him so that his wife, who was there with him, left in tears. So much for Joe’s idea of common courtesy. Not only that, but Joe has been in the habit of stealing other people’s papers, speeches, and ideas. I think they call that plagiarism. We had Jimmy and Fritz - God forbid, we don’t want Obama and Joe… they gotta go! Is it true that Obama calls Biden “boy”?

Kinnock (original)

Why am I the first Kinnock in a thousand generations to be able to get to university? Why is Glenys the first woman in her family in a thousand generations to be able to get to university?

Was it because our predecessors were thick? Does anybody really think that they didn’t get what we had because they didn’t have the talent or the strength or the endurance or the commitment? Of course not. It was because there was no platform upon which they could stand.

Biden

I started thinking as I was coming over here, why is it that Joe Biden is the first in his family ever to go to a university? Why is it that my wife who is sitting out there in the audience is the first in her family to ever go to college?

Is it because our fathers and mothers were not bright? . . . No, it’s not because they weren’t as smart. It’s not because they didn’t work as hard. It’s because they didn’t have a platform upon which to stand . . .

By the way, neither Barrack Hussein Obama or Joe Biden grew up in a log cabin. The liberal media keeps calling Joe a good Catholic. I believe abortion is against the Catholic religion, so how can HE be a good Catholic, as he believes in it? Another point I might make to these two millionaires and good Christians - the Bible says “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house” and since it is John McCain’s wife who owns those houses, I believe also the Bible says “Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.” Now to change the subject is really what Obama means by his use of the word “change”.

Russians acting like mongol hordes is nothing new and should be condemned strongly by all Democratic countries, and use of every weapon available short of military should be taken. I don’t believe that any country that takes the same course as the Russian leaders, with their men, military, and citizens knowing and tolerating this, should be considered a Democracy.

Another thing I would like is to discuss the protesters in Denver and how they are to be treated. I see where Denver has refitted a warehouse with steel cages to store any protesters who have the audacity, one of Obama’s words, to protest the messiah’s second coming. I also saw platoons of Denver police poised to strike if needed. I think showing pictures of these hundreds of cops is to discourage protesters before they start in. I can see the Democrats don’t want another incident like 1968 in Chicago, with cops beating protesters.

Have you noticed how the elites stick together and praise each other regardless of affiliation?

How old would Mary Jo Kopechne be now?

How many children would Mary have now?

How many grandchildren would Mary have now?

How many lives would Mary have touched? But the lion of the Senate goes on. How easily the Democrats forgive each other- Chappaquiddick

I wonder if the fact they both cheated in college is what drew Biden and Kennedy together. Hell no, I won’t forget!

Much ado about houses. Let’s not forget Countrywide Financial: Dodd and Conrad

Did you notice how few pictures of the demonstrators in Denver? They got the media under control. Fox News has over compensated to be fair and balanced . They are approaching MSNBC status.

If the Democrats were to control all three branches of the government, they will try to shut talk radio up by use of the Fairness Doctrine. I can see a REAL REVOLUTION coming, and I WILL JOIN THE RANKS!

The polls show younger people tilting liberal. What would you expect with professors in colleges and universities similar to the University of Illinois, where one of Obama’s buddies, Bill Ayers (known terrorist), teaches?

I can hardly wait for Michelle Obama to speak tonight. I want to hear about how she had to pay $10,000 for piano lessons, complaining about how much camps, for her girls to attend, cost, and how the $600 stimulus was about enough to buy a pair of earrings. Not many wives out here in flyover country would spend so much money on earrings, especially if, as Obama was saying, they were all hurting and impoverished.

They rave about the Clinton years. They use the Peace Dividend. They cut military spending. They let Osama (not Obama go. They left this country in DANGER. They prevented the CIA and FBI from communicating with each other. They didn’t even apologize for 9/11, and Pockets Berger stole the incriminating documents. And they talk about the Bush administration… that’s a joke!

Over 100 years ago a person known as The Boy Orator, or Silver Tongued Orator (name was William Jennings Bryan) was the nominee for the Democratic party. He was defeated by Republican William McKinley. Bryan was considered one of the great orators of all time and he didn’t read off of a teleprompter.

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barack Hussein Obama and Joe Biden!

Russian aggression must be defeated. It does not have to be military because of the specter of nuclear warfare. Let’s face it, Putin is without a doubt one of the most evil people in the world. The man is two-faced and Bush only saw one of them. I think he could, as well as Obama, be another Dorian Gray. The way to punish them for their aggression has many facets. They could be declared a terrorist state the same as North Korea and Iran. I would also like to add another terrorist state, that being Syria, who just signed a defense pact with Russia. I think that all American citizens including corporations, politicians, state and government workers should be required to sell all stock they hold in Russian companies. And companies doing business with Russia should be punished. Also, forbid them from buying any stock in the future.

The Federal Reserve, Treasury, and banks should be unable to follow through on any transactions with Russian banks and businesses. This same procedure should be asked of all gutless NATO countries and their leaders, not unlike Germany’s leader Merkel saying they want to maintain rapport with Russia, as they get 60 percent of their imports from them. I think we should also curtail transactions with those same NATO countries if they are of the same mind as Merkel. Foreign companies such as Siemens, E. On Energie, and other giant corporations belonging to our supposed allies in NATO.

Russia should also be removed from the G7 and FORGET the G8! They should also not be allowed to join the World Trade organization. Another form of punishment would be to stop phone service, UPS, postal services and other means of communication. Putin has taken on the demeanor of Stalin. The only thing differentiating him from Stalin, currently, is that he hasn’t murdered millions of his own people YET. It seems he has started with a neighboring country by killing their citizens. Making nuclear threats against Poland is, I guess, another way to murder people.

Another thing I would mention is the fact that millions of Polish citizens have already been murdered by Germany and Russia. For God’s sake, give them a break! Putin - go back to your cave!

I notice cities are going to be requesting the new President to renew the funds for more police on their streets. I don’t think this should be done for sanctuary cities that encourage the crimes on their streets by defying laws and allowing illegal immigrants to reside there and increase their crime rate. Not only that, but cities like Denver who allow pot, even though that breaks the Federal laws also.

The oil speculators are at it again… increasing the price of oil and harming average Americans - firms like Goldman Sachs (pension funds, brokerage and hedge funds). Unless and until these firms are required to post most of the funds for their purchases, this will continue. I think there should be an investigation of politicians invested in those firms, and they should be voted out of office. There is another way to get at these sleezy individuals, and that is for all citizens to boycott them. I wish the American citizens would say “I am mad as hell and I am not going to take this anymore!”

Never thought I would be doing this, defending McCain - ain’t that a blast? As far as age is concerned as an obstacle to performing your duties in service to your country is something new: Supreme court Judges, Rehnquist 84; Stevens 88; Scalia 72; Kennedy 72; Souter 69; Ginsberg 75; Breyer 71; also Senators Byrd, Kennedy, Dingel, and some others are WELL above McCain’s age. Seems to me he must have a good genetic marker, as his mother is going strong at 95. As far as his houses are concerned, his wife has two that are investments - one her daughter lives in.

If I were wealthy like McCain and his wife, I would also have 4 or more homes - one on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, one in Maine, one in Wyoming, and one on the coast of Oregon. I don’t have, but I don’t envy those that do. Obama, I believe that is one of the Ten Commandments. Why don’t you follow what you told Pastor Rick Warren, “As you do to the least of these, your brothers, so you do for me.” I believe you have a brother living in a hut as an illiterate. Why don’t you help him, or are you rich enough? Another thing, I believe your house of considerable value is tainted with a felon’s money!

Surprising things are happening throughout this country. What it is pointing to is the destruction of this nation from within, not from without. What I refer to is the states and cities deciding which laws they will abide by and which they will ignore. Instances of this are sanctuary states and cities ignoring U.S. laws - another example is Washington, DC, which is ignoring second amendment rights that were upheld by the Supreme Court. Another instance is states and cities spending monies received from the federal government, for one thing being used for another. Talk about the Russians going their way with impunity. What is the difference as to those practices from our own citizens? Another group of citizens are denying the American people their rights to energy they can afford and energy that will not take food from their table, as ethanol does. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and the Democrats are doing this, and I hope voters don’t forget!

The thing that would delight me more than anything else is instead of, as Nancy Pelosi said “The Democrats are going to punish Joe Lieberman”, Joe should turn the tables on them and caucus with the Republicans.

Now let’s get to the Democrats biggest problem… Obama and his unpreparedness for anything as far as this country’s need for a strong President, for our national defense, security, and foreign policy. The fact that Obama is going to be in Springfield just prior to the convention is laughable. For him to consider himself in the same league as Abraham Lincoln is PATHETIC! By now his Democratic followers should realize their messiah has feet of clay. Let’s face it, had Obama been in Lincoln’s shoes, he would have insisted that the North and South should use restraint and we would have ended up two countries. The Presidents would have been Obama (until voted out) and Jefferson Davis. As he realizes that he will not be able to win on his own, he will turn in desperation to Hillary to run with him as his Vice President. I can see him now, also, supporting Bill as Secretary of Feminine Affairs.

The last subject I wish to cover is the Russia aggression and the lack of guts in NATO heads of states, who I guess are bowing to their constituents. That, to me, is a very sad state of affairs. I wish these countries would realize, as most of our citizens do, that freedom is not cheap and sometimes requires blood and sacrifice. Russia has used their wealth gained from oil revenue to rebuild their country and military. Now they are using their oil and gas as a weapon against most of the countries of Nato. This should encourage all of them to follow France’s example and build nuclear plants for their energy. I would think that France, with its nuclear expertise, could re-vitalize their economy by building nuclear plants for those countries. Those countries could also do as the Germans did in World War II when necessity became the mother of invention, and as Germany’s access to oil became less than their needs they fueled their planes and tankes with fuel made from potatoes. In fact, I think we should be making our ethanol out of potatoes, sugar beets, and sugar cane, leaving our corn for food for humans, livestock feed, chicken feed, dairy cow feed, pig feed, etc.

The subsidies paid for corn growing could definitely be spent more responsibly. The effect of using corn for ethanol has clearly raised the price of food and fuel to the detriment of the American people and also people from other countries. Where is our politicians’ common sense?

What does T. Boone Pickens think about Teddy Kennedy and the liberal rich snobs on Cape Cod, Nantucket, and Martha’s Vineyard not allowing wind farms anywhere near their playgrounds?

Obama putting down politicians as being so terrible, and yet he is the epitome of a slick politician, and Slick Willy does not even compare!

300 million of our tax dollars being spent on planned parenthood against the wishes of a vast minority, and the things they do with this money are disgusting to most Americans - these funds should be taken away from them!

Knowledge being the most important commodity, isn’t it a shame that the Democrats never use it, following their leaders blindly, who also never use it

I notice Obama has the same attitude towards Russia as does the German leader, Angela Merkel - how about that as a world view?

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama.

A question has been puzzling me for some time and I would like one of the political analysts and professionals to answer, if they would - if Joe Lieberman were to switch parties, would ole Harry still be able to keep bills proposed from coming to the floor? If not, then who could bring proposed bills for a vote? The reason I ask has to do with drilling for oil and construction of nuclear power plants. Who would become the Senate leader? Also, this question becomes apropos if he were to become McCain’s running mate. The reason I ask these things is because of the vast financial benefits that would be afforded this country, though from Bill Clinton on have been misappropriated. I do not blame this on the environmentalists - I blame the Democratic party.

I would like to point out some facts that belie the statements made by Obama about the Republicans’ dirty tricks: In Reagan’s first term, the Democrats tried to use his age. They found out he was not too old as he brought back the country’s pride and world respect, also rebuilt our military. His second term run, the Democrats accused Raymond Donova, one of Reagan’s cabinet members, of crimes. He was cleared and asked “Who will give me back my reputation?” On Bush 41’s second term run, Ross Perot was the spoiler and the Clintons’ campaign lied about the economy, which was strengthening quite strongly at the time. Had Ross Perot not run, Clinton would never have become President. Also, the strides made during Clinton’s administration were a result of the Republican Congress. He helped to cause our energy problems of today with his veto of ANWR drilling passed by the Republicans.

Bush 43’s first run, the weekend before the election, the Democrats put out his DUI and the liberal media made a big hullabaloo about it, even though it was when he was much younger. His second term, Dan Rather put out some forged documents to slander Bush. The Republicans cannot help the fact that Obama is black, as he says he is, nor can they change his associates for twenty years. The question is: What dirty tricks wilil the Democrats use on McCain?

Remember how the Democrats and liberal media decended on Mark Foley and Larry Craig, and they said NOTHING about Pockets Berger, Robert Torricelli, Robert Byrd (former official of the Ku Klux Klan and used the n**** word) - no outcry, William Jefferson, Barney Frank’s house of gay prostitution, Gary Studds, the Democratic Janrettes having sex on the Capital steps, and Jesse Jackson with his love child, and their failure to report on the Edwards scandal. I also wonder how they can have so much compassion for the families of the Edwards, the gay New Jersey governor’s family, and I never heard any compassion for the families of Larry Craig and Mark Foley. I also noticed that everyone had sorrow about the death of Tim Russert, so young, and yet the Democrats had nasty things to say about Tony Snow, who also died very young and left a family.

I have a suggestion for Congress: fund the immigration department fully by using funds withheld from sanctuary cities currently going to them for roads, bridges, transit, education, and other funding as these examples.

I have a suggestion for the Clinton delegates: do the same thing Wendell Willkie did in 1940, even though he was a poor candidate and lost the election to FDR.

I believe that Barrack Hussein Obama is the real Dorian Gray!

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama

The five Republicans on the gang of ten are being led down the primrose path by the five Democrats - how stupid can you get? Barrack Hussein Obama is also leading the American people down a primrose path promising everything and actually has never produced anything. He reminds me of Lampwick, promising everything to Pinocchio, and in the end made themselves just a couple of asses. If he prevails, he will make asses out of all citizens in America. I never knew a politician who threw so many friends under the bus. Everyone knows who they are and what they represent. How anyone knowing this and still plans voting for Obama are helping to take the country down the false road of socialism, which is not what this country needs.

This country was formed on the backs of American individuals with the freedoms they were given, and in response to that built a country with success that is the envy of the world and other countries aspire to. Frankly, I am not ashamed of living in a country that the rest of the world envies and I will never want to placate those socialistic countries as Obama seems to want to do. I don’t want this country to become a member of the European Union. I still want to live in a country that the world turns to when they need help - not someone who will use the fiddle of socialism to play as Nero did while Rome burned. In other words, Obama WILL destroy this country of guts and glory.

Something new… Republicans for Obama… one of them is ex-Congressman Jim Leach from Iowa. I wonder if this has something to do with McCain being against massive taxes from the American people being used to subsidize farmers to raise corn for ethanol that is raising the price of fuel for every American and inflating the cost of food to harm the rest of the American citizens. Instead, McCain wants to get our ethanol from Brazil, which is a lot cheaper and is made from sugar cane, which does not raise the price of food on meat, dairy, bread, and all the staffs of life.

Now let’s talk about the geopolitical energy grab that Russia is trying in relation to its attack on Georgia. The bear is raising its ugly head again in the presence of its cub Putin. The world cannot allow the Nazi doctrine for the justification to invade bordering countries for their economic and political needs. The world stood back and watched Hitler do this without taking any action. Some actions may be limited, but at least we could furnish them with Patriot missile batteries and other military equipment. We could also give them economic aid as we did during the Cold War, shut down of roads and rails to Berlin. A lot of us were around then and cheered with every plane load that was flown in to show the Berliners we stood by them. We need the same guts now. I blame the rise of Russia’s aggressive actions, not only on Putin, but on Bill Clinton and the Democratic party.

Clinton vetoed the bill to drill in ANWR when the Republicans voted to allow it. After that, the Democrats wouldn’t allow offshore drilling, they placed obstacles in the path of nuclear power plants, the use of coal, processing of oil shale, and drilling on government lands. Had we done all those things and continued to try to get entrepreneurs like T. Boone Pickens to work on alternative fuels such as solar, wave, biomass, wind, and gas from garbage and land fills, we wouldn’t be in this kind of energy crunch. Had we done these things, we would be in a position to export oil to other countries and break the use of energy by Russia as a weapon against bordering countries and Europe. Also, this would have improved our balance of payments and retired some of our debt.

May God continue to bless the USA and protect us from Barrack Hussein Obama.

Turned to MSNBC to see their talking points for Obama - saw Kelly Odonnell so upset about McCain’s spot on Obama’s celebrity, I thought she was going to cry. The way Hollywood and the liberal media have gotten so upset by this ad, I think it should be run by McCain’s people at least once weekly until election day. New York Times did an editorial on this - all their affiliates are upset and crying out, also TIME, Newsweek, CBS, and other liberal rags and stations. Don’t think they mentioned that Obama said several times how people are going to say he has a funny name and he is black, but of course that wasn’t playing the race card - like hell he wasn’t.

Congress takes five weeks off but doesn’t allow the drilling bill to come to the floor. What has this Congress accomplished with Nancy Pelosi - Two earth-shaking things… FDA to be allowed to regulate tobacco and you can’t put lead in childrens toys - fantastic! This Congress is far worse than Truman’s do-nothing-Congress. As long as Nancy Pelosi is allowed to be at the helm it will stay that way. Ole Harry Reid at the helm of the Senate, same as Nancy… he is pathetic. The Iraqi government has accomplished more by at least 300 percent of what our poor Democratic Congress has.

Democrats say “Give us your poor, your huddled masses yearning for a fair price on gas” - the Democrats say “We will keep the price high, but don’t forget we will be here with a handout for you. If we keep you poor and needy and lie and lie to you, we will stay in power to keep government the same and continue our policy.” Don’t forget, Obama is trying to buy the election with promises of $1000 for everyone, even though they will be spending more on gas and food prices, but you won’t realize it. Some of us with a little intellect will figure it out.

I would say that Obama is ludicrous because he is ridiculous and deserving of derision because of his approach to his campaign, bring up the race card in this campaign and previously in his campaign against Clinton, them blaming it on the opposing candidate. Ludicrous also means falseness. Let’s go over his friends and associates in his past, who he has now said he really had no idea of who they really were - his past heroes Malcolm X and Louis Farrakhan. His past friends, who he didn’t realize who they really are are Reverand Wright, Tony Rezko, Catholic Priest Pfleger, and terrorist Bill Ayers. If you don’t know who your friends are for years, how will you be able to discern who is your country’s enemies?

Haven’t heard anything about how the South Dakota refinery is coming along. Have the Democrats and environmentalists succeeded in keeping it from being accomplished yet?

I don’t see why Republicans, even Ann Coulter, never mention the fact that President Clinton vetoed a Republican bill that would have allowed drilling in ANWR 12 years ago, wells that would now be producing.

Most striking thing on tv news today is Obama bringing up the race issue, as he did with Hillary and succeeded in that primary. Not only that, but which President or which denomination will his face replace that currently holds that position? Will it be Washington, Lincoln, or Grant? He uses everything any audience wants to hear, such as the people in middle American caught up in their religion and guns. What better place to say this in but San Francisco. The audience must have cheered as much as if Code Pink had beaten up a soldier. The liberal media are so very upset the way Obama is being criticized and losing his image as a mesiah. If you don’t believe me, tune in to MSNBC and hear: Andrea Mitchell, Jim Warren, Chris Matthews, Keith Olbermann, E.J. Dionne, Chuck Todd, David Gregory, David Shuster, Contessa Brewer, Charles Tillinghast, and others of the same ilk.

Energy and rising gas prices have succeeded in helping to keep the economy from thriving more than it has. The Democrats are the reason for this, even to blind, rabid Democrats. I wish the President would call a special session of Congress as Harry Truman did in 1948 use this as a reason to defeat Thomas Dewey in the Presidential election - also Henry Wallace and Strom Thurmond. See attached:

Truman convenes special session of Congress July 26, 1948
By: Andrew Glass
July 25, 2007 03:35 PM EST

On 27 occasions, presidents have called both houses into session to deal with a crisis. The most recent of these special sessions — and the first one since 1856 — met at the behest of President Harry S. Truman on this day in 1948.

With less than four months remaining before Election Day, Truman’s approval rating stood at 36 percent. His GOP opponent, New York Gov. Thomas Dewey, looked like a sure winner.

So in search of a bold political gesture, the president turned to the provision in the Constitution that allows the president “on extraordinary occasions” to convene one or both houses of Congress. And Congress at that time was controlled by the GOP.

In accepting the Democratic presidential nomination at 1:45 a.m. in a stifling Philadelphia convention hall, Truman stunned delegates by calling on the Republican majority to live up to its party platform by passing laws that bolstered civil rights, extended Social Security and created a national health care program. “They can do this job in 15 days if they want to do it,” he said.

Republicans reacted with scorn. Sen. Arthur Vandenberg (R-Mich.) said, “No good can come to the country from a special session of Congress which obviously stems solely from political motives.” Nevertheless, some key GOP figures — including Vandenberg — favored action to widen the party’s electoral appeal.

The gesture went only so far when Sen. Robert Taft (R-Ohio), chairman of the Republican Policy Committee, accused Truman of abusing his presidential prerogatives and blocked all votes.

That decision presented Truman with a campaign theme: He railed against the “do-nothing 80th Congress.” Against all odds, Truman went on to win in November in a four-way race against Dewey, Strom Thurmond of South Carolina and former Vice President Henry Wallace.

I am so sick of Republican Presidents and Republican Senators and Congress persons allowing themselves to be brow-beat and put down. As far as energy is concerned, I hear no one talking about Clinton’s veto of ANWR drilling 12 years ago. What’s with that? Seems to me it’s the same as forgetting all about Obama’s pastor, who was Obama’s inspiration for one of his books. Also forgot about his pal former practicing terrorist against the United States - AND Obama’s real estate deal with a convicted felon. These are not the actions of a mesiah. I say McCain has been very soft on his attacks on Obama’s character, no matter how much Obama whines.

Now let’s talk about Obama’s supposed accomplishments - you say WHAT accomplishments… you are right, but try to sell that to the liberal media… never happen. The Democrats are saying how the economy is caused by the Republicans, and yet they are the ones that are defeating our search for energy independence.

One final note - how come Senator Byrd, at 90, is competent to be a Senator? Strom Thurmond was a Senator at 100, and John McCain, at 72, isn’t competent to be President because of his age, but his mother is going strong at 97.

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama!

Now is the summer of our discontent. The American people, overall, are not the kind to be kept down and have the hope of better things taken from them. Jimmy Carter told us to wear sweaters and settle for less. His unemployment and inflation figures were the highest ever. People were quite restive about that message he was putting out, and fortunately he was voted out. I wouldn’t say his foreign policy was too good either - when Iran was allowed to hold American citizens for a year.

There are two other people trying to hold Americans EVERYWHERE as hostages to their value of life, that the price of gas stays too high for the average American to enjoy a way of life that they have enjoyed for many years. These two people are Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, who I am sure do not lack funds to take limos, chartered flights, cabs and whatever. Are these two dictators able to stop other members in the House, 434 and 99 in the Senate?

Saw a list of campaign contributors on Investors Business Daily: NBC, $104,184.00 to Democrats - $3150.00 to Republicans … CBS, $45,508 to Democrats - $966.00 to Republicans … one of the surprising things: FOX, $40, 573 for Democrats - $0 for Republicans … FOX News Channel, $1280.00 to Democrats - $0 for Republicans. Shouldn’t this make Howard Dean happy?

During the 2004 campaign, the frenchman (John Kerry) had all of Europe for him, especially the French. What did it get him? I don’t think the American people want our policies to be determined by any European, Baltic, or Scandinavian countries. At least I hope they feel that way.

Senator Schumer says the Democrats are not interested in drilling for oil because they want to wean themselves off oil. Guess it doesn’t matter what us flyover country folks desire.

I notice that Democratic crooks are never called to account by their peers as Republicans are - for instance, Charlie Rangel, Chris Dodd, Kent Conrad, Jamie Gorelick, Franklin Raines, and Donna Shalala. What’s with that? How is that for “most ethical”?

I would like to know why poor people in the north get heating assistance, and yet the poor people in the hot areas of the south don’t get the same for air conditioning for their comfort.

Obama transfixed the Europeans during his trip with his oratory. How our allies have taken the position they have taken since we freed them from German oppression and our Marshall Plan to rebuild Germany, Japan, Italy, and England after World War II, when we expended so much blood and treasure for them - for their freedom is disgusting, and as far as I am concerned, unforgivable. Obama courting them is disgusting. One of the places he should have visited was Normandy American military Cemetary. It also wouldn’t have hurt to visit Auschwitz - also Birkenau concentration camp.

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama.

During a commercial at another station, turned to MSNBC to get the democratic talking points. I was surprised to see a segment by the New York Times campaign edition. I was able to get many democratic talking points anyhow. Apparently, the democratic New York Times and the democratic MSNBC have joined forces. Should I be surprised? Of course not. NewsWeek has been a democratic carrier of news for some time - hired the originator of DailyKos. MSNBC, NewsWeek, and the New York Times have been losing readers and viewers dramatically for some time. Don’t you think the Obama campaign should pay them as well as all the campaign spots he puts out in other areas of media?

I was glad to see that the Gray Lady’s quarterly earnings were down 82%. I will be glad when the Gray Lady shows her true colors and goes dark. The only people who read the New York Times and watch MSNBC are rabid Democrats, and not even the most rabid. The real rabid Democrats read DailyKos, Moveon.org, Huffington Post, and other slimy outlets.

Oil and gas efforts by the oil companies have been stopped dead by Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, and the majority of people harmed by the high prices for gas at the pump are those in flyover country, and these are people who are mostly ignored by all the politicians. I would hope that all those in flyover country would call their representative and Senator (plus Nancy and Ole Harry) and let them know what you feel about this. Someone has to take on the Democrats and environmentalists, in their unpatriotic fervor,to keep this country from becoming completely independent on energy, and that does not set well with the U.N. lovers and those who want an international flavor to our country, even if it’s a detriment to our country.

The Republicans in Congress and any Democrats who want to lower prices of gas, get behind the small town of Elk Point, South Dakota with their desires to get their new refinery on line that will process 400,000 barrels of oil daily from our next door neighbor Canada with their tar sands. I would think this would be good for NAFTA. Efforts should be made by the Republicans to take away the obstacles that the Democrats and environmentalists will place in their way, as usual. Also, they should try to encourage other towns to follow Elk Point’s lead.

Notes of Interest:

Bob Novak says how reprehensible it was for the McCain campaign to hint they were about to put out their Vice Presidential pick and didn’t.

Bob Novak ran over a pedestrian in D.C. and continued on his way. A bicyclist caught up with him and informed him that he had hit a pedestrian - Novak says he didn’t know that - celebrity pays.

The Democratic National Convention Committee has been fueling their vehicles at Denver City’s gas pumps, thus avoiding paying state and federal taxes. GM is also loaning the committee vehicles - has there been any political crookedness? See attached:

DNC host’s tax-free gas evaporates

Angry reaction brings a halt to use of city pumps

The committee hosting the Democratic National Convention has used the city’s gas pumps to fill up and apparently avoided paying state and federal fuel taxes.

The practice, which began four months ago, may have ended hours after its disclosure. An aide to Mayor John Hickenlooper released a statement Tuesday evening saying that Denver 2008 Host Committee members would pay market prices for fuel and would also be liable for all applicable taxes.

However, Public Works spokeswoman Christine Downs told City Council members just hours before that host committee members were fueling up at the city pumps. The city does not pay taxes on the fuel for its fleet, and Downs said the host committee would not either.

The disclosure brought immediate scrutiny. Colorado Attorney General John Suthers said the practice “would seem” to be illegal and referred the matter to the state Department of Revenue.

Nonprofits, such as the host committee, are subject to state and federal gasoline taxes, according to the Department of Revenue.

The issue arose during the regular weekly meeting of Hickenlooper and City Council members. Downs requested authorization for a contract so the Public Works Department could be reimbursed by the host committee for use of “fueling facilities, fuel and car washes.”

Downs said the contract with the host committee started in March and that $9,700 in fuel and services had been purchased from the city so far. But the committee has yet to be billed. The city anticipates $466,125 in total revenues from the contract, Downs said.

City Councilman Charlie Brown raised the question of whether the host committee would be paying fuel taxes, and Downs said it wouldn’t.

“There’s something there that just doesn’t seem right to me because, in a sense, you’re saying then that the officials who pass the laws are not willing to live by them,” said Councilwoman Jeanne Faatz.

Hickenlooper said the practice isn’t unique to Denver.

“I do know for a fact that they’re doing the same exact thing in Minneapolis,” Hickenlooper said, referring to the city that along with St. Paul is hosting the Republican National Convention.

But Teresa McFarland, a spokeswoman for the Minneapolis-St. Paul host committee, said its members are getting their gas at public pumps.

“We’re not getting a tax break on fuel,” she said. “That’s not the setup at this end.”

In Colorado, consumers pay 40.4 cents per gallon in state and federal fuel taxes.

“We’re a nonpartisan, nonprofit committee, but certainly, if the city feels that taxes are applicable, we will pay those, too,” said Chris Lopez, spokesman for the host committee. “So we would pay all applicable taxes on any of the fuel.”

The host committee, which is responsible for raising money to put on the convention, is using the city’s pumps “for safety and security reasons,” Lopez said.

“We know the gas is not tainted,” he said. “We use it as a safety and security measure.”

Hickenlooper said GM is “loaning” the host committee vehicles and he expects a large number to be hybrids. It wasn’t clear Tuesday whether host committee members are using those loaners or their personal vehicles.

Dick Wadhams, chairman of the Colorado Republican Party, said the city’s arrangement with the DNC host committee was “appalling.”

“I’m hoping this is not the first of many stories about how Colorado taxpayers are apparently subsidizing the Democratic convention,” Wadhams said.

After the meeting, Faatz said it was wrong for the DNC host committee to get a tax break.

“I am just troubled by not having the payment of taxes for what I consider to be a privately funded party, and that’s what the host committee is: it’s a private organization,” she said.

“If you’ve got a 14-gallon tank, on the average, that’s about $5.66 that they don’t have to pay for fill up,” Brown said.

Brown also questioned the need for car washes.

It also wasn’t clear Tuesday whether the Department of Revenue will investigate.

“We can’t talk about any individual taxpayer’s circumstance,” said department spokesman Mark Couch. “Tax-exempt organizations are not exempt from fuel taxes, so a nonprofit group is not exempt from fuel taxes. As to the individual circumstance involved here, we’d have to look into it and investigate to make any kind of determination.”

Denis Berckefeldt, spokesman for Denver Auditor Dennis Gallagher, said Hickenlooper’s administration has been guilty in the past of doing business before a contract is executed.

“Is it unusual that it happens?” he asked. “No, because they do stuff like this. Do we like it? No.”

In January 2006, Gallagher complained to Hickenlooper in a letter about the “ongoing problem related to work being performed on behalf of the city before a contract for that work has been fully executed and properly signed.”

At that time, Gallagher wrote, an examination of 999 contracts found that in 790 cases - 79 percent - work began before the contracts were “fully executed.”

“We would have a problem with this because they’re clearly selling fuel to the host committee without a fully executed contract,” Berckefeldt said. “We have a real serious issue at the auditor’s office with the city doing business with anyone without a contract.”

Harry Truman took action on the Berlin airlift against the advice of most of his advisers to ensure the freedom of Berlin’s citizens. Considered an act of courage by Harry Truman, in historical terms - This will apply to President Bush as to Iraq in the future. Bush realizes that Iraq is not an American victory, but a HUMAN victory.

Obama, who didn’t believe the surge worked, would still vote against it, carries Senator Jack Reed and Senator Chuck Hagel with him - two men with military prowess and medals, who are, in actuality, putting down these young troops and the absolutely fabulous job they have done. I won’t say that Chuck Hagel is a wolf in sheep clothing, but he is definitely a Democrat who posed as a Republican in Nebraska to get elected.

The International Olympic Committee saying that Iraq’s seven members who wish to be in the Olympics will be denied - I think the U.S. should withdraw from the Olympics unless this is rectified.

The Victory statue, where Obama spoke, was moved to where it is now on the orders of Adolph Hitler in 1938 - a statue to commemorate victory overFrance, which the statue faces. Hitler spoke there many times and transfixed large crowds with his oratory… sound familiar?

Arrogance - Thy name is Obama

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama!

I have some words to say to the Republican National Committee, or I should say the Reluctant National Committee. They have been handed the best political tool they have ever had and choose not to use it. I never hear it mentioned that it was 12 years ago when Clinton vetoed the Republican Bill allowing drilling in ANWR. Project the amount of oil that we would be receiving by now and blast it on any news media that will carry it. I know there is more that will not carry than will, but at least make an effort. Off shore drilling Bills in Congress and Senate cannot come to the floor because of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid - let the world know! The DNC is lying to the country about this phoney 68 million acres available for drilling, and they’re getting away with it… WAKE UP!

Just saw a Democratic congressman this date saying how it wasn’t them keeping any more refineries from being built. He said it was the fault of the oil companies - I beg to differ, see attached:

Regulatory hurdles still remain however

Voters in Elk Point, South Dakota, have approved the construction of the nation’s first new gasoline refinery in 32 years. To be built by Hyperion Energy, the refinery will process 400,000 barrels a day of Canadian tar sands crude into low-sulfur diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel. Supporters say the plant, which will be the world’s cleanest, will reduce dependence on Mideast oil, as well as help to lower gas prices. The new refinery means billions of dollars of capital investment, along with thousands of high-paying jobs, and a tremendous economic boom to the tiny community. Even still, the battle to approve the refinery was a closely-fought one, with environmental groups spending tens of thousands of advertising dollars to persuade residents to vote against it. The final vote was 3,932 in favor, 2,832 against — a massive turnout in this small town of 10,000 residents.

While oil prices are responsible for the majority of gasoline’s increase, part of the problem is restricted refinery capacity. With the nation’s gas being produced by an increasingly rickety network of aging refineries, a substantial percentage of U.S. demand is now refined overseas. Gasoline is more expensive to ship than oil, which raises prices and creates potential supply bottlenecks. A shortage of refinery capacity was also responsible for gasoline shortages after Hurricane Katrina struck, when the temporary closure of several refineries caused prices in some southern states to more than double.

Approval for the plant is not yet absolute, however, as legal action continues to bar construction from beginning. According to Ed Cable, the leader of one of the groups opposing construction, “We have strategies in place to slow or delay all the permit processes.” The first such is a legal challenge to the county’s zoning approval, filed in state court.

Hyperion must also win the approval of state and federal regulators, a process that requires over 1,000 separate permit applications and is expected to take several years.

I wish to commend the citizens of Elk Point, SD for their backbone and patriotism. Now let the Democrats and environmentalists try to change their colors. I believe, in the 2006 election, Nancy Pelosi said the Democrats would use methods to bring the price of gas and oil down. Did they? Not only that, but did they accomplish ANYTHING? Congress has the lowest poll numbers ever, but do the Republicans point out the failure of the Democratic Congress? No! I think if they had any sense, they would point out to voters that the Democrats are in charge, and take that monkey off their back and encourage voters to vote the Democrats out because of their lies and failure.

I think that instead of running around like the mad hatter saying “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date”, that date being the first Tuesday in November, the Republicans should stop whining about losing seats and do something about it. Stop whining, use your time well. Start working on commercials for all Republican nominees showing Nancy Pelosi’s and Harry Reid’s destructive tactics. Also show Clinton vetoing the ANWR Bill 12 years ago - some foresight.

According to T. Boone Pickens, we will be sending $700 billion yearly to other countries, some very unfriendly. Wouldn’t it be something if we drilled off shore in ANWR, coverted the oil shale to oil, keep the South Dakota refinery free being sabotaged by the Democrats and environmentalist wacko, and process the Canadian oil sands at the rate they project? After filling our needs, wouldn’t it be nice to sell a billion or two to other countries? It IS possible. What a difference in the balance of payments and our economy! There are also areas the Democrats have placed obstacles in, like the path of more natural gas - amuch cleaner fuel.

RNC, get some bright people. I know there must be some. Make commercials showing Clinton’s veto, and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid’s efforts to keep energy out of the hands of the American people. You could also show Obama’s efforts against these as well as nuclear energy.

Talking points:

I see where Obama has 300 advisers who tell him what questions may be asked and what to say. Does that include Jesse Jackson?

With ABC, CBS, and NBC’s news anchors PLUS the 300 advisers going with Obama on his tour, there will be more ego in one place than anywhere or anytime since civilization began. In fact, if Obama went alone, the same might apply.

I would say countries that use oil as a weapon should be ostracized by the rest of the world as should those who use food.

I hear how al-Qaeda gets $8 billion to carry out their terror from the poppy crops in Afghanistan, and we don’t spray the fields with weed killer by aircraft. Where is the common sense?

Wonder if Obama and the ABC, CBS, and NBC trio will get as large of a crowd as if Bon Jovi and Bob Geldof were in concert TOGETHER.

I hope that the crowds Obama draws overseas don’t make all the media have that feeling run up their legs like Chris Matthews did, and let’s hope there are not thousands of fainting women.

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama.
