Just heard the 9/11 commission, with no convictions, are concerned about destroyed CIA tapes. They didn’t seem concerned with how many or what classified documents Pockets Berger stole. Double standards are a great part of our culture in all aspects. As far as I am concerned, the 9/11 commission was a joke played on the American people. This reminds me of the George Mitchell investigation, where people were accused of having taken steroids on the say-so of someone else with no proof. Where do they go to get their reputations back?

This is similar to the Democratic party covering up the fact that they have had no legislation by having investigations, and then investigations. I guess they think as long as it keeps moveon.org, dailykos, and Huffington Post happy, they don’t have to do their jobs. A lot of the investigations Congress does is all for show with no intention of taking any action, as with the banks and credit card companies and the usurious rates of interest they charge. Congress has allowed this to happen, and they will continue to let it happen. Then when the banks get into trouble with their actions, they bail them out. All you hear from Congress is from their Committee Chairmen and their attacks and pontification about their investigation of the awful Republican administration and anything that MAY have happened.

The submitted NIE report is one of the most detrimental issues ever brought before the American and world attention. And those involved with this report, with the help of people that are of the same persuasion, are those who gave the New York Times classified information to print. I give this group of 16 intelligence agencies the same incertitude as I give the 9/11 commission, which is the same as I give all those committees investigating anything and everything just to get their faces and voices on television. All they are is a bunch of giant egos popping out of their skins. If only they would attend to their legislating of the country’s business.

The Democrats amaze me. Their actions these days would make their icon and hero, Franklin Roosevelt, very despondent. His statement “the only thing we have to fear is fear itself” has been replaced by “Oh woe is me!” They fear that no one likes us around the world. They fear the economy. They fear hot weather. They fear having the strongest military in the world. That’s why the Clinton administration cut the military and used the money saved as a peace dividend to buy more votes. We PAY now. Clinton gave mostly lip service to fighting al-Qaeda. We paid on 9/11. The current crop of Democrats don’t even believe the axiom of the other icon, John Fitzgerald Kennedy, who said “Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.”

Kennedy’s axiom is being carried out by our young, all volunteer military, but certainly not by the Democrats. I know I would certainly appreciate it if I could hear some of them say, as Reagan did, “Our best days are ahead of us. We are a beacon of freedom and liberty to the rest of the world.” As long as the Democrats elect leaders that are always ready to throw in the towel, or put up the white flag like our good friend Harry the Reed, driven by the wind, our domain will be threatened. Then of course we have the leader of the Democratic House, Nancy Pelosi, who is really concerned about freedom and Democracy throughout the world - yeah sure.

It must be very depressing to be around this group of downers. If it were up to them, we would still be paying tribute to the Tripoli pirates, and we would all be speaking German.

The last subject I will cover is illegal immigration, which will be the death of the America we know if the Democrats are able to give amnesty to the 20 million already here, and then allow them to bring relatives in. Our national language will become Spanish. All schools will be teaching in Spanish. You won’t be able to get a drivers license unless you are proficient in Spanish. What I have written will take decades to happen, but it will happen unless we elect a Congress that will take action on illegal immigration before it happens.

This problem and Bush taking no action and kowtowing to Mexico has been my biggest problem with his actions. His kowtowing to Mexico is what keeps him from pardoning the two border agents prosecuted unfairly.
