Can They Learn from the Big Three?

What a difference a double standard makes.  I don’t hear the Republicans spouting hate and venom towards Obama as the Democrats did to the Bush administration.  The liberal news media and the Democratic party expounded nothing but hate towards President Bush for 8 years.  They are even talking about investigating his administration after he leaves office.  However, they still have the effrontery to advise the Republicans to give Obama a chance, when the Republicans haven’t turned on President Obama as the Democrats did on President Bush before he was in one day – and they attacks never abated through his 8 years in office.

I would say there has never been a President attacked so abysmally by the opposite party and their media.  Apparently they fear Sarah Palin somewhere down the road and haven’t stopped their attacks on her since she came on the scene.  In my opinion, “Meaner than a junkyard dog” applies to rabid Democrats and the liberal media is just STUPID.  Obama is the President of all the people including me.  However, his professed policies and his past associations do concern me.  He couldn’t pass his own tests to join his administration, and he couldn’t get a position with the FBI or CIA.

Because of the short attention span of Americans, I feel it is necessary to go over, again, the real causes of this economic crisis.  The Democrats have been able to blame this on President Bush, when in reality it was caused by the way that Freddy Mac and Fannie Mae were used.  The CEOs would get bonuses on the amount of mortgages they sold, not on the quality of those mortgages.  Then they would transfer those to other financial institutions, and thereby hangs the tale of the financial meltdown.

President Bush, John McCain, and other Republicans tried to bring oversight to these programs, but were stopped by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Nancy Pelosi, and other notable Democrats.  When the house of cards came tumbling down, they cried out “BUSH-BUSH-BUSH!”  Since then, they have never admitted that it was their fault and they never will.

Now let’s cover the Big Three Bailout again.  Because of their generous pension plans plus health care costs, it is adding $1500 additional to the price to be charged for a car, which encourages people to buy the foreign cars.  Not only that, but the costs for labor for those foreign companies that are union free is one half the cost of that by the American companies ruled by unions.  Because of their costs, the union has destroyed the companies they work for from within.  Why should people making $15 hourly have their taxes used to bail out companies whose labor costs are $80 hourly?  Then of course, the taxes taken from people working for the foreign automobile manufacturers would also be used to underwrite the labor costs from a competing company.

The Big Three are going through $2 billion of loss weekly because of lack of sales and extreme labor costs.  That would mean we would have to give them $25 billion every three months.  The best and only hope for the Big Three is for them to declare bankruptcy, reorganize, and renegotiate with the unions who, if they want a job, will work with them.  They could also renegotiate leases, parts supplies, etc and be able to continue in business without adding to the taxpayers’ burdons.

The Democrats want to use the card check instead of the secret ballot.  I don’t know why they can’t learn from the current Big Three automobile companies crisis.  It’s plain to see what caused it, and they want to, apparently, spread the disease like they want to spread everything.  Why we should copy European type societies and morals is beyond me.  This country was built on individualism, self-reliance, a dream within reach, and has been a beacon of hope for the rest of the world for decades and will continue to be unless the dream is taken away by copying Europe.
