Arlen Specter, Susan Collins, Olympia Snowe: Stimulating the Democrats!

Stimulus Bill being forced down our throats whether we like it or not – in the Mary Poppins tradition, just a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down, even if it’s the wrong medicine and may cause a heart attack.  The brilliant minds that conceived this over-looked the simplest means of turning this economy around and it had barely started to do so when Congress allowed certain people to stop it in its tracks and to help Iran, Russia, and Venezuela at the same time.  I will let you decide if that was an act of treason.  What that was was allowing oil speculators such as J.P. Morgan Chase, CITIgroup, Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, pension funds, and hedge funds to steal money from the American people and help Iran, Russia, and Venezuela by jacking up the price of gas and oil, by as much as, some say, 60 percent.  The price of oil now should be about $22.00 and the price of gas should be at least .50 cents per gallon less than it is.

The politicians talk of putting money in the pockets of Americans to spend and stimulate the economy, and yet they are allowing money to be taken from Americans that would stimulate the economy more than any other means.  The politicians are all upset about Madoff stealing from the rich with his ponzi scheme, but they are not concerned at all by speculators stealing a few dollars a week from John Q Public.  Oil is at surplus and will be for the next few years and we have oil tankers circling outside our coast waiting for the price of oil to go up.  OPEC threatening to cut output is an empty threat.

Russia, Iran, Venezuela, and Mexico are hurting so bad they will not cut off their nose to spite their face.  We have a government entity called the Commodity Futures Trading Commission.  It’s mission – to protect market users and the public from fraud, manipulation, and abusive practices.  They are not doing their job.  Could there be collusion?

If the Democrats would allow offshore drilling and drilling in our western states and thereby increase the surplus of oil, that would keep our enemies such as Iran, Russia, and Venezuela from using their oil treasure to try to undercut the US.  I wouldn’t think the Democrats would want to help those countries, but I don’t know.  I guess this oil fiasco will continue unless Congress takes action.  I have one Representative in the House, Phil Gingrey, and two Senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isakson – since they all voted against that so called stimulus bill, they will continue to be so, but if they fail to try to get some of these oil thefts and distortions straightened out I will work against them in the next election.  For a better perspective on this, read article written by F. I have a suggestion for the Democrats against oil drilling – you could exact a price to be used for construction of wind farms in the ocean.

Bill Press – an incompetent liberal radio host interviewing a Senator pushing for the Fairness in Broadcasting Act to be reinstated to protect him and people such as Alec Baldwin and other stumble bums such as Al Franken, Janeane Garofalo, Bernie Ward, and the list goes on and on.  If the liberal radio hosts are so intellectually challenged that they can’t compete, why should they ask the government to protect them?  I stand ready and I sincerely hope most Republicans and a few Democrats also stand ready to defeat this intrusion.  We must never allow another Third Reich come to be.  First thing that goes is the secret ballot – like the card check, and then the right of free speech.  Hitler used FEAR to propel the Third Reich and went after the younger people – sound familiar?  Our leader at that time said the only thing we had to fear was fear itself, a good axiom to follow.

Prior to this last election, the Democrats and their press cohorts held court daily about how bad the economy was.  Then, by the actions of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd (Democrats), the bottom fell out of the housing market and crushed the financial institutions.  Now we really do have a financial meltdown and it gives Obama the chance to scream FEAR and catastrophe to pass a wasteful bill.

• I can’t help but hope their constituents vote Arlen Specter, Olympia Snowe, and Susan Collins out
• Seems strange that Judd Gregg is being appointed as Commerce Secretary and the Census count is being taken away from the Commerce Department – do they trust him or is there some chicanery going on
• Why don’t Arlen Specter, Susan Collins, and Olympia Snowe change parties as Jeffords did
• Despite his political speeches to get elected, Obama is the most partisan President EVER
• Will someone ferret out what was given to the three faux Republicans to get them to change their votes – was it more Chicago style payola
• Secretary of Treasury, Timothy Geithner to outline bill on the banks – he was appointed by Bush’s Secretary Paulson to distribute the first $350 billion and we hear that the government was shorted by $78 billion – is he really capable – where did he get this great reputation since he couldn’t figure out how to pay his taxes until appointed by Obama
