Big Three: Continue To Feed Union Beast

Taxpayers, it's your duty to feed the beast!

Taxpayers, it's your duty to feed the beast!

The American consumer has already bailed out the auto companies every time they bought a car from the Big Three over the last several years, and thereby underwriting the benefit package that the unions wrested from the auto companies.  By paying more money for autos, the consumers kept them afloat for years and the unions coffers full.  Then came competition from union-free companies, consequently their sales soured and the resulting need to cut prices charged for their products had to be dropped.  Now the extra $2,000 they had received for their product that had fed the union beast was gone and they no longer had any profit structure left.

Now they want the U.S. taxpayer to bail them out again.  In other words, we guarantee them a profit and they continue to feed the union beast.  The union beast has been in the habit of using many of the funds they extorted to help the Democrats to gain election and to continue helping them extort funds to use for more nefarious purposes.  Why should the American taxpayer insure the continuation of the benefits for the auto unions?  They already receive far in excess of the amount of benefits that other unions get.  I will just mention one that tears me up - if an auto plant has to be closed due to changes in technology or reorganization, the workers necessarily let go receive 95 percent of their regular wages from the auto companies for the rest of their working years and their pension benefits are MASSIVE compared to other companies.  Do you think an airline having to close a terminal would pay the displaced employees for the rest of their lives?  I think not!

As you can see, it is no wonder that Nancy Pelosi would say Chapter 11 bankruptcy is out of the question.  That would take away one of their biggest sources of campaign cash.  To me, this is similar to people given mortgages with clearly no resources to continue to pay the payments due.  It would be better for the country if the Big Three went under Chapter 11 and the banks take back mortgages that should never have been given in the first place.

There are other things the government could do to help the country get its economy under control.  One of these things is for the SEC to do its job and stop these speculators from filling their pockets by raising prices on oil, meat, and foods of all sorts.  One way is to require speculators to use more of THEIR OWN money to buy these commodities and insure consumer’s rights to a decent living by not having to fill the pockets of a bunch of circling buzzards.  Just one of these commodities coming down to reasonable levels - oil - has put as much as $500 billion yearly into the pockets of consumers to spend on other things, and, which in itself, will do a lot for the recovery of the economy.

The Democrats may manage to outlaw offshore drilling and thereby helping Russia, Iran, and Venezuela to continue to spend massive amounts of money to harass th U.S.A.  I don’t get it!

The price of oil has been one of the barriers to a sustainable economy in the last several years, and for those of you who didn’t know, that was caused by the Democrats and environmentalists keeping us from becoming energy independent.  Now that they are completely in charge, you can look for the price of gas to start going up dramatically.  After all, we must help our allies - Russia, Iran, and Venezuela.

There's the auto union beast and there's THIS beast!

There's the auto union beast and there's THIS beast!

Am I the only one who thinks that Al Franken looks like a pit-bull?
