To Obama They Flock, But His Words are a Crock!

I have some words to say to the Republican National Committee, or I should say the Reluctant National Committee.  They have been handed the best political tool they have ever had and choose not to use it.  I never hear it mentioned that it was 12 years ago when Clinton vetoed the Republican Bill allowing drilling in ANWR.  Project the amount of oil that we would be receiving by now and blast it on any news media that will carry it.  I know there is more that will not carry than will, but at least make an effort.  Off shore drilling Bills in Congress and Senate cannot come to the floor because of Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid - let the world know!  The DNC is lying to the country about this phoney 68 million acres available for drilling, and they’re getting away with it… WAKE UP!

Just saw a Democratic congressman this date saying how it wasn’t them keeping any more refineries from being built.  He said it was the fault of the oil companies - I beg to differ, see attached:

SD Voters Approve Nation’s First New Gas Refinery in 32 Years
Michael Asher (Blog) - June 4, 2008 12:34 PM

Regulatory hurdles still remain however

Voters in Elk Point, South Dakota, have approved the construction of the nation’s first new gasoline refinery in 32 years. To be built by Hyperion Energy, the refinery will process 400,000 barrels a day of Canadian tar sands crude into low-sulfur diesel, gasoline, and jet fuel. Supporters say the plant, which will be the world’s cleanest, will reduce dependence on Mideast oil, as well as help to lower gas prices. The new refinery means billions of dollars of capital investment, along with thousands of high-paying jobs, and a tremendous economic boom to the tiny community. Even still, the battle to approve the refinery was a closely-fought one, with environmental groups spending tens of thousands of advertising dollars to persuade residents to vote against it. The final vote was 3,932 in favor, 2,832 against — a massive turnout in this small town of 10,000 residents.

While oil prices are responsible for the majority of gasoline’s increase, part of the problem is restricted refinery capacity. With the nation’s gas being produced by an increasingly rickety network of aging refineries, a substantial percentage of U.S. demand is now refined overseas. Gasoline is more expensive to ship than oil, which raises prices and creates potential supply bottlenecks. A shortage of refinery capacity was also responsible for gasoline shortages after Hurricane Katrina struck, when the temporary closure of several refineries caused prices in some southern states to more than double.

Approval for the plant is not yet absolute, however, as legal action continues to bar construction from beginning. According to Ed Cable, the leader of one of the groups opposing construction, “We have strategies in place to slow or delay all the permit processes.” The first such is a legal challenge to the county’s zoning approval, filed in state court.

Hyperion must also win the approval of state and federal regulators, a process that requires over 1,000 separate permit applications and is expected to take several years.

I wish to commend the citizens of Elk Point, SD for their backbone and patriotism.  Now let the Democrats and environmentalists try to change their colors.  I believe, in the 2006 election, Nancy Pelosi said the Democrats would use methods to bring the price of gas and oil down.  Did they?  Not only that, but did they accomplish ANYTHING?  Congress has the lowest poll numbers ever, but do the Republicans point out the failure of the Democratic Congress?  No!  I think if they had any sense, they would point out to voters that the Democrats are in charge, and take that monkey off their back and encourage voters to vote the Democrats out because of their lies and failure.

I think that instead of running around like the mad hatter saying “I’m late, I’m late for a very important date”, that date being the first Tuesday in November, the Republicans should stop whining about losing seats and do something about it.  Stop whining, use your time well.  Start working on commercials for all Republican nominees showing Nancy Pelosi’s and Harry Reid’s destructive tactics.  Also show Clinton vetoing the ANWR Bill 12 years ago - some foresight.

According to T. Boone Pickens, we will be sending $700 billion yearly to other countries, some very unfriendly.  Wouldn’t it be something if we drilled off shore in ANWR, coverted the oil shale to oil, keep the South Dakota refinery free being sabotaged by the Democrats and environmentalist wacko, and process the Canadian oil sands at the rate they project?  After filling our needs, wouldn’t it be nice to sell a billion or two to other countries?  It IS possible.  What a difference in the balance of payments and our economy!  There are also areas the Democrats have placed obstacles in, like the path of more natural gas - amuch cleaner fuel.

RNC, get some bright people.  I know there must be some.  Make commercials showing Clinton’s veto, and Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid’s efforts to keep energy out of the hands of the American people.  You could also show Obama’s efforts against these as well as nuclear energy.

Giant egos swoon for Obama - does he walk on water?

Talking points:

  • I see where Obama has 300 advisers who tell him what questions may be asked and what to say.  Does that include Jesse Jackson?
  • With ABC, CBS, and NBC’s news anchors PLUS the 300 advisers going with Obama on his tour, there will be more ego in one place than anywhere or anytime since civilization began.  In fact, if Obama went alone, the same might apply.
  • I would say countries that use oil as a weapon should be ostracized by the rest of the world as should those who use food.
  • I hear how al-Qaeda gets $8 billion to carry out their terror from the poppy crops in Afghanistan, and we don’t spray the fields with weed killer by aircraft.  Where is the common sense?
  • Wonder if Obama and the ABC, CBS, and NBC trio will get as large of a crowd as if Bon Jovi and Bob Geldof were in concert TOGETHER.
  • I hope that the crowds Obama draws overseas don’t make all the media have that feeling run up their legs like Chris Matthews did, and let’s hope there are not thousands of fainting women.

May God continue to bless the USA and save us from Barrack Hussein Obama.
