Congressman Dingell of Michigan wants to add .50 cents a gallon to the cost of gas to cut consumption. This won’t hurt Congressmen who live in Washington and take airlines, taxis, or government cars, but it will sure as hell hurt working people who have to commute to the cities to work. They don’t have the money to buy high priced condominiums in the city near their work. I think Dingell has been in Congress WAY TOO LONG.

Tuned in to the Chris Wallace program today. Heard Schumer with his devious opinions and his oil syrupy voice. Wonder what kind of oil he uses on his throat. I wager it’s straight out of Merlin’s bag of tricks. Frankly, just to hear him talk is grating to my nerves. This S-chip program to cover illegal immigrant children, also adults, and to bring children who are already covered by private insurance into the program is a financial blunder. Then Hillary says she will give $5,000 to every child born. In both these instances, they are BUYING votes. Whatever happened to their icon President’s statement “Ask not what your country can do for you; ask what you can do for your country”?

The use of this little 12 year old boy, to push their increase in the S-chip program, was one of the most disgusting things I have seen the Democrats do. It also makes me sick that 18 Senators of the Republican party went along with this farce. Too bad there wasn’t another party with character and integrity to hold fast to what is best for this country. I would join in a minute. All during Bush’s Presidency, there have been Republicans allowing themselves to be used by the Democrats. Some I had a high opinion of, but no more - such as Senators Hatch, Warner, Grassley, and Luger. The last listed, Luger, I once considered to give my vote when he tried to get the Republican nomination for President. He sure fooled me! Fool me once, shame on me.

I think they also have been in the Senate WAY TOO LONG. They really are an embarrassment to the Senate along with Robert Byrd. They certainly are an embarrassment to the Republican party. I wish we had a Congress and Senate that worried less about being loved for their giveaway programs and concerned themselves more with what is best for the country. There is one Congressman I do respect, Representative Brian Baird, from Washington State - a Democrat with principals and not afraid to offend his party and constituents to make a decision based on what is best for the country. Too bad more weren’t like that!

We all know what happened to the Greeks, Romans, Macedonians, and now France, after the destruction of the moral fibers of those entities. Do we want this to happen to the United States? I hope not. With the Democrats’ political correctness, and their attitude towards the Patriot Act, FISA Law, phone surveillance of terrorists, and their attitude of “let’s all live TOGETHER - treat the al-Qaeda well, and they will not want to attack us” will lead us to being another world power that passed from the scene in history.

With the Democrats controlliing the Presidency, I worry that the world’s powers will be changed to China as #1, Russia as #2, Iran #3, then maybe England. We will be somewhere down the list and on our way down further. We will have lost our civil rights that really count - life, liberty, and the persuit of happiness.

Hoping that this horrific thing will not happen, I cling to my hope. May God continue to bless the USA.
