Watching the hearings today left me with a very sad outlook on the future of this country. Tom Lantos’ opening tirade was sickening, and those two women who rose after Petraeus was through with his statement were slime and Americans whose braying we do not need. How fitting that the symbol for the Democratic party would be an ass.

New York Times running a full page ad by moveon.org, calling Petraeus a traitor - this move should drop their circulation dramatically, I hope. Moveon.org, the voice of the Democratic party spending massive amounts of money to undercut America is a shame that shows what the Democratic party IS. How ANY veteran of this war or any past war can vote Democratic is beyond me. I know they are led and guided by the liberal media who are also a bunch of asses. Do you think that Chris Matthews, David Gregory, and Keith Olbermann were ever in service? If they had been, they wouldn’t be on the fringe left in the Democratic party.

I wish somehow the feelings of the American veterans who fought and died from the Revolutionary War thru the Civil War, World War I, World War II, Korea, Vietnam, Gulf War, and now this war in Iraq and Afghanistan could be heard loud and clear to the defeatists. I think their eardrums would have been broken. The preening, pontificating, and posturing of the politicians of the Democratic party in their questioning and putting down of Petraeus and Crocker is a disservice to them and a disservice to this country and the military who fights for its freedom now and in the past. The Democratic party says to the military “What have you done for me today?”

We all know that this Democratic party is always standing ready to raise a white flag and surrender if things get tough. Had the Democrats of today been around during the Revolutionary War, they would have declared General George Washington a traitor, and this country would never have achieved its freedom. The hope of the world’s nations and the light of liberty would have been extinguished.

During the hearing, Tom Lantos had the audacity to say that Libya gave up its nuclear program without a shot being fired and saying it was due to Congress. What crap! It was Bush’s policy that accomplished this. Also, Lantos says Congress takes credit for the success with North Korea. It was Bush who insisted on six party talks and not unilaterally talking with them as Clinton did when he gave the North Koreans money and assets to make a fool out of the United States. Tom Lantos and Clinton should both leave the country. In fact, the Democratic Congress has not accomplished ANYTHING on its own. Bush had to prod them to take action on the Patriot Act, tax cuts, surveillance on the terrorists, the CIA, FBI, and police being able to share information for our security - all these things and others would not have been done if the Democratic Congress had their way.

In fact, I would say they are the most do-nothing Congress EVER and also, have done more to harm this nation than any other Congress. Ambassador Crocker and General Petraeus calling these pontificating, posturing, preening politicians “sir” is disturbing to me because they do not deserve respect. I would hate to tell you what I think of them. Do you think those SCREAMING leftists will be prosecuted for disturbing the Congress during hearings as the Chairman stated? I don’t think so. We’ll have to see this in the press with the punishment meted out described.

The liberal media is of the same SCREAMING fringe left-winged nuts as were those demonstrators. New York Congressman Ackerman reminds me of a strutting peacock. But Wexler is THE absolute slimeball. A poll put out today by USA/Gallop says 60 percent of American people want a timeline in Iraq be setup for our withdrawel. I would like to see how these poll questions were framed. In other words, I believe that it is part of the liberal media’s agenda. When I hear the Democrats saying “Thank you for your service”, it leaves me cold.

Other than the officer corps, they think that our military is composed of illiterates and rednecks, and of course far inferior to Democratic politicians. I hate to tell them, but the military has fought and died to preserve our freedom and allow them to STRUT and try to convince people of their intellect. I would say 50 percent of the military grunts on the ground are superior to them in intellect and common sense. I can just imagine what the Senate hearings will consist of… talking over Petraeus and Crocker; contests by the Democrats for who can talk louder and make the most outrageous charges; making efforts to slime our military and its leaders as well as the Commander in Chief - what else would you expect?
