Takes time to build a tenable democracy!

Two free speech advocates.....

The Democrats need to take a lesson from history and review their thinking in order that they may possibly abandon their dogmatic actions and thinking. In our American Revolutionary War, and seeking a tenable democracy, it took 13 years for it to form and elect a President. We had the advantage of being under the thumb of King George and not Saddam Hussein. In 1215, the Magna Carta was written while John was King of England. It gave individual rights and was the precursor to constitutional law. Ratification of the articles of confederation didn’t happen until 1788, which was 12 years after the Declaration of Independance. The first President was elected 13 years after, in 1789. Our country went through many conflicts, trials, tribulations, and citizen discontent during all those years.

How can the Democrats think Iraq, after having a leader like Saddam, who used murder, rape, and brutality to control the population and cause hatred between Sunnis, Shea, and Kurdish, can attain a democracy overnight. Also, the Iraqis, after the first Gulf War which left Saddam still in power, were encouraged to revolt. Then Saddam used genocide and murdered hundreds of thousands of men, women, and children. Makes you wonder what the United Nations is for. If only those two aircraft that struck the two towers had struck the United Nations building, the world would be better off today. The Democrats block an amendment to prevent the return of the Fairness Doctrine to silence talk radio - shades of Chavez, Saddam, Ayatollah Khomeini, Hitler, and Stalin. I hope the country hasn’t sunk that low.

The Democrats’ idea of free speech is as long as you agree with them. Saw a clip of the George Stephanopoulos show last Sunday with John Warner and Richard Lugar. If they weren’t sheep in wolves clothing, they would have declared themselves Democrats at that time. Remember when Madeline Albright was Secretary of State for Clinton and they celebrated that they had solved the North Korea problem, while the North Koreans were laughing all the way to the bank and continuing their nuclear research to make atomic weapons? Now there is hope under Bush, but at least his administration practices trust but verify.

Hillary must despair - poor thing… having to know she is not the most powerful woman in Washington, but has to play second best to Nancy Pelosi. Perhaps she should talk to Nancy Pelosi about sabotaging all the other Democratic candidates instead of the Breck girl - he is so pretty. The Democrats and elitists are so worked-up about the genocide in Darfur, even though their rapist President didn’t touch the situation. I guess they condone rape and sexual harassment and expect nothing from a Democratic President. Apparently, knowing genocide will happen in Iraq at a much larger scale than in Darfur, should we leave, doesn’t bother them. The crocodile tears of Democrats and elitists is obscene.

It wasn’t just the Democrats, but also a lot of Republicans who voted to keep a veil over the earmarks, pork or whatever you want to call it - it’s dishonest and reprehensible.
