Without God is a fearsome journey

Remember this atheist? The ACLU and Supreme Court helped her ban God from school!

It has become the style and the rage to be an atheist these days. Several new books have been written lately to espouse this belief. In my opinion, these views are people grasping at straws to bolster their own small concept of life. Their fears are a combination of being unable to grasp faith and their resentment of others that do. One of the best known atheists of all time was Robert Ingersoll. He was considered a great sage and philosopher of his day. One of the strangest things about him is the reports on his death in 1899. The report that he called on God for forgiveness on his death bed was vehemitly denied by his fellow travellers.

Another woman, Madalyn Murray O’Hair, an extreme activist for atheism, died in 1995. Her fears led her to use the ACLU to get prayer banned in school. another case of activist judges, play on, play on… Sandra Day O’Connor. I hope this message gets to them at their meetings, and it becomes a topic of conversation. You would be surprised at how many of these oddballs there are. I will only add one thing to this putrid subject. If I were in any form of combat, I would not want an athiest covering my back.

Now another subject… the fact that the Democrats refuse to debate on Fox News is a real blast. They have to have Chris Matthews hold their hand. Funny thing though - Fox is far more balanced than the other channels. Here is a list of the liberals on Fox:

  • Maura Liasson
  • Juan Williams
  • Mort Kondracke
  • Geraldo Rivera
  • Bill Hemmer
  • Shepard Smith
  • Greta Van Susteren

On MSNBC, there are two Conservative use-to-be’s:

  • Scarborough
  • Carlson

Now they are toadies, like horses with no spirit. I guess you could expect this on MSNBC, that they would become clones of Chris Matthews and Keith Olberman. By the way, CNN has ALL liberals. They don’t even pretend to be fair. It would seem to me that if these Presidential aspirants thought they were capable of being President, they wouldn’t need their hands held by Chris Matthews or some other liberal Democrat, and would be ready to answer some hard questions. I think that this tells you a lot about their potential. I don’t want any of them as MY President! I have some advice for Congress too… let not ambition mock their useful toil - wouldn’t that be nice?

I would like to know how many persons of military age have been murdered or killed in accidents in this country, in the same time frame as the 3500 plus soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan in combat or in accidents. And for the anti-war peaceniks and white flag wavers… I would like to quote Walt Whitman: “Long, too long America - travelling roads all even and peaceful - you learn from joy and prosperity only - but now, ah now, to learn from crisis of anguish, advancing, grappling with direct fate and recoiling not.” And now, in the spirit of Memorial Day, I will end with some more of Walt Whitman: “It is enough that we once came together - time has seen this and will not turn again”, “For now, you, the one you mourn is not in that grave - it was an illusion - the heir, the son you knew, he is not dead - he is risen again, young and strong in another country.”

Our fearsome trip is not done!
