Miracle TV Remote
I have a tendancy to use the tv remote to browse while commercials are on. Being able to use the remote has uncovered something the news media needs to know about. They have always wanted to uncover collusion by big corporations - guess what - there is collusion in broadcasting. Have you ever wondered how the commercial spots of all stations appear at the same time? Is that collusion or sheer accident? Another discovery… all local news weathermen get to say about three or four times how the weather will be given “in a minute“. Then, “in a couple of minutes“; Then “in a few minutes“.
The listeners sit there on pins and needles, just holding their breath waiting for their dose of highs, lows, pollen counts, and historical data. After listening, they can now go about their business, happy and complete!
Another benefit of roaming with your remote - you can find the darndest things. Stopped once when I saw a gaggle of liberal journalists on the Chris Matthews show - all twelve said the democrats would retake the house in November. None of them said this, but I could almost hear it - “I hope our combined efforts can make this happen”.
I haven’t seen so many liberal journalists in one place since John McCain’s straight talk express when he ran for President. I know that him not getting the nomination has kept them awake at night and given them many moments of despair. I hope that the people, of the people, and for the people come out in droves in November and smash their hopeful allusions.
While roaming with my remote, I found there were not enough boots on the ground, or we would have captured Osama. Nothing was said about he being offered to the Clinton administration, but the offer rejected. Another thing I found while roaming was that President Bush had not fixed the levies prior to Katrina. I know that Clinton probably walked these at least once a month checking for leaks. Had he discovered a leak, I am sure he would have put something in it. See the story of The little Dutch boy with thumb in Dike.
I had a thought while seeing this - if only President Bush had called up Ray Nagin and told him to use the 500 school buses, they could have saved 20 thousand people from having to be housed at the superdome and convention center while being starved and beaten. Ray Nagin probably had his cell phone with him while saving people, could have answered, rounded up all school bus drivers and had them take the people to National Guard armories throughout the safe areas in the state. That’s why Ray Nagin was re-elected - because of the heroic measures he took during Katrina.
Governor Blanco was there also and should be re-elected. After all, she called President Bush, and I’m sure said “How may I help?”. Don’t know for sure, but think he may have said “What is personal responsibility? And give me the definition of first responder” - Mean and hateful things!
Back to my roaming with my trusty remote. Found a few Democrats giving their views of Joe Lieberman - from being the devil, to being an ungrateful wretch and warmonger. In any event, they have their big guns ready.
While roaming with my remote, I saw some of the Democratic President wannabes saying how they just pray that Iraq gets straightened out immediately and our troops can come home, even though that would take away their political advantage for the November elections. Sincerity, where is thy sting?!
